Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Finnigan.
Hi Brooke, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After moving to Texas in 2015, I knew I wanted to start a new career in real estate. My husband had been flipping homes for many years back in Chicago, and our goal was for me to get licensed here in the Dallas area so we could start doing the same locally. What began as a plan to support our own investment projects quickly turned into a true passion. I fell in love with helping others buy and sell their homes, and quickly, that passion grew into a full-time career. Now, I get to combine my love for real estate with helping clients find homes they truly love and see potential in—just like we did when we started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My first six months in real estate were some of the hardest—I actually almost gave up. I was spending more money than I was making and quickly realized this business wasn’t going to be as easy as I thought. I had assumed success would come naturally, but I was humbled fast. It took time, consistency, and a lot of learning from failure to build momentum. Looking back now, I’m so thankful I didn’t quit, because those early challenges taught me grit and shaped me into the agent I am today.

The Finnigan Taylor Team was formed in 2023 after I spent six years working as a solo agent. During that time, I built my business on relationships, trust, and results—but I knew partnering with AJ would take things to the next level. Together, we bring complementary strengths and a shared commitment to client care. Our team specializes in residential real estate across North Dallas, focusing on providing a highly personalized, full-service experience for both buyers and sellers.
What sets us apart is our hands-on approach and deep local knowledge. We don’t just help clients buy or sell—we guide them through every step, ensuring they feel informed and confident throughout the process. Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the reputation we’ve built for being hardworking, honest, and client-focused. What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is always finding ways to have my own little “business.” By third grade, I was cutting neighbors’ lawns and shoveling driveways—anything to stay busy and make my own money. I loved the feeling of independence and accomplishment that came with earning something on my own, and looking back, it’s funny how that entrepreneurial spirit was there even at such a young age.
