Today we’d like to introduce you to Paloma.
Hi Paloma, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My own story in the events industry began over a decade ago, out of passion for the appreciation of beauty, harmony, and connection in humanity. In the beginning, it was exhilarating to plan small events for close relatives and friends designing spaces where they would pause in wonder, feel, and celebrate life’s most precious moments.
What began as an individual passion was revealed to be, in truth, a calling. I delved deep into the realm of event design to study the complex dynamic between aesthetics and structural form on one hand and emotions on the other. The positioning of a candle, the feel of fabric, the motion of light became expressions conveying something beyond the physical realm of event design itself.
The transition from passion to business was seamless and evolutionary. The beginning was full of challenges that require passion, spirit, and unlimited imagination to overcome. The process of marrying instinct with perfection combining what makes a celebration purely emotional with executing it perfectly was learned in the process.
As my business has grown, so has my artistic vision. I’ve realized that it is not extravagance that makes an event difficult to forget but authenticity. Whether it is designing an elegant wedding dinner or exclusive party, my vision has always been to offer spaces where stories can be told through design, where design speaks the language of emotions, and emotions speak the language of memories.
Within the passage of these years, my personal brand has transformed to encompass being the mark of a creative studio known for my one-of-a-kind, modern, timeless, sophisticated, and soulful. No matter if it involves planning and designing or sourcing exclusive decoration sets, every project is about experiencing the essence of beauty in its most substantial form.
Today, I can look back on the experiences that led me to where I stand with an immense amount of appreciation for the difficult moments and the joyful moments that sculpted my work and my vision. My vision for what is yet to come is to continue to develop experiences that inspire, uplift, and enchant.
Because beyond the flowers, candles, and decorations, it is my work and shall always be the celebration of the art of life itself!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, I faced the same challenges many entrepreneurs do: finding the right clients, building a strong reputation, and developing a brand that truly reflects my vision. There were moments that tested my patience and my confidence, but I think that every challenge taught me something valuable about leadership, growth, and purpose, etc.
We’ve been impressed with Paloma Viana Event and Wedding Planner, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What readers should know and what I’m known for is understanding each client on an individual level: capturing their essence, style and what makes them unique and bringing that into the celebration in every aspect and I think that’s unique to my work and also that I religious believe that true beauty lies in the details. The harmony of colors, textures, and ambiance that together create a lasting impression, that is essential and unique in my work.
Every event I plan is reflective of my client’s individuality. I don’t work in one style or one way; rather, I let each event speak for itself. The color schemes and the flower arrangements to the layouts and textures – everything has to work in harmony to convey an authentic and personal quality to the atmosphere.
Also, apart from designing, there is the aspect of organization and coordination to arrange timelines, all the processes involved in the event, ensuring that everything flows smoothly in each instance, etc. The most special moment for any event organizer, including myself, would be preparations prior to the entrance of the most beautiful person in the room: the bride and her moment to shine.
My company has evolved over the years to include not only event planning but the entire creative direction process, such as specialty decoration rentals, lounge designs, custom arches, and showpieces that enhance the event décor entirely. Every project I take on is one that brings my vision to life with art that speaks to the soul. And also covering the entire Dallas-Forth Worth area and its surroundings takes greater care with all of this.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like best about Dallas is the people. There is something special about the atmosphere in this city. Everybody just seems so optimistic, nice, and full of life. There is just something about the atmosphere in Dallas that makes you feel right at home, regardless of where you’re from.
Dallas has the most versatility that I greatly admire in an event. Also, is still very contemporary and lively with enough locations to offer anywhere from natural settings to upscale settings with plenty of sophistication to go around.
And, that is what inspires me most in my work. This allows me to plan events that suit every couple in terms of personalities and dreams whether it is a rustic celebration or an elegant wedding with lots of glamour in it. Dallas gives me the freedom to express my creativity in designing for every wedding style and story there is.
The I like least about Dallas is the cold, the winter season: I’m a summer person in my soul. I enjoy the city being bright and full of life and sun, just like the parties I throw. Despite this, I get used to it because there is no really bad time to do an event.
