Today we’d like to introduce you to Yoonsoo.
Hi Yoonsoo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a young age, I’ve been deeply passionate about drawing and painting, and I believe God blessed me with a special gift to be an artist. My mission is to spread love, joy, and peace through my art. One pivotal moment for me was a dream in which I felt a divine presence encouraging me to “paint the light.” Since then, my work has carried deep spiritual meaning.
I often pray, meditate, and reflect on Scripture, allowing myself to receive high frequencies of love and peace from God. This practice gives me wisdom and a deeper understanding of life, which I channel into my creations. I love working with abstract art because it offers freedom for both myself and the viewer. When I am at peace, I create peace; when I am filled with love, I create love. The colors, textures, and forms in my work are reflections of those energies.
I also write poetry to accompany each piece, helping others connect more deeply and find healing and inspiration. Ultimately, my art is a mission — a way to bring light, love, and joy into people’s lives and make a positive impact.
In addition to gallery work, I collaborate with interior designers and decorators, bringing my art into spaces that uplift and inspire. This allows me to extend the impact of my work beyond traditional art settings and touch people’s daily environments in meaningful ways.
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts and have devoted my life to this path. Through solo exhibitions and collaborations, I strive to touch hearts and bring healing and hope to others. My creative journey is a way to glorify God and share His love with the world. Every expression of creativity overflows from Him — the unseen reality within me becomes visible through limitless styles of art. My paintings are portals that reveal the invisible and bring a glimpse of heaven to earth.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As an artist, I’ve faced many obstacles, just like anyone else. But I believe that each person has a unique calling from God. My art is about creating and reflecting light and beauty, and whenever challenges arise, I refocus on my purpose and vision from Him. That purpose is my anchor — it reminds me of my worth and keeps me grounded in my calling.
I’ve learned that every artist has their own distinct style and mission. I often remind my students, especially children, not to compare themselves to others, but to create from their hearts and embrace the uniqueness God placed within them.
This truth gives me freedom — freedom to be myself, to create beauty, and to trust that my strength and resilience come from Him. Even during difficult times, I find the courage to persevere, to love, and to continue creating meaningful art.
While obstacles are inevitable, I’ve realized that the hardest battles are often internal — moments of doubt or fear. But when I stay confident in my divine calling, I’m able to keep producing work that is both beautiful and purposeful. I’m deeply grateful for this journey, and I find joy in knowing that every challenge shapes me into a stronger, more faithful artist.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is a fusion of art and poetry — a dialogue between visual beauty and the written word. I believe that art should not only please the eye but also touch the soul. Each of my paintings is paired with an original poem that deepens its meaning and invites viewers to reflect, feel, and connect on a spiritual level.
Many people are drawn to my art not only for its visual beauty but for the meaning it carries. During my exhibitions, I always display my paintings alongside the poetry I write — and I often hear how these words inspire and move people. For me, the harmony between image and language is essential; together, they form a complete expression of emotion, faith, and inner light.
I see my creative power in crafting pieces that are both beautiful and meaningful. My art doesn’t just transform spaces — it transforms hearts. Whether displayed in a gallery, a home, or a sacred space, my intention is always to bring light, peace, and inspiration to those who encounter it.
What sets my work apart is this union between the visual and the poetic — between color and emotion, form and spirit. Each piece becomes an expression of divine energy and love flowing through creativity — a reminder that beauty is not just seen, but also felt and lived.

A Hidden Glory
3pcs x 24”x30” | Acrylic, ink, and gold leaf on canvas | 2025
In this earthly vessel,
shaped by nature’s hues-
soft browns, quiet shades,
a beauty that fills the earth-
a hidden glory rests,
a radiant gold within.
In humility we wait
for the light to break forth.
This is the beauty,
the mystery of our being:
in due time,
the glory within will shine.
“We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that this immeasurable power will be seen as God’s, not ours.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my most cherished childhood memories is creating handmade Christmas cards for all my classmates. My family has always carried a deep love for giving, and that spirit of generosity became part of my heart’s language from an early age.
Each year, I would pour myself into designing a unique card for every friend — drawing, painting, and writing heartfelt messages late into the night. I didn’t know it then, but I was already learning what it means to create with love. The joy I felt in giving those little works of art, and seeing their smiles, was a glimpse of the divine joy that comes from sharing beauty and kindness.
Looking back, I can see that even in those early moments, God was shaping my heart as an artist. Through color, texture, and words, I was expressing something sacred — the desire to reflect His love through creativity. What began as a simple childhood tradition became the seed of my calling: to use art as a vessel of light, warmth, and grace for others.
