Rola , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
To me, intelligence is the foundation of everything. I’m a strong advocate for rational thinking and intellectual clarity. True intelligence is not just about what you know, but how you use it — it’s about honoring your integrity, protecting your energy from negativity, and channeling your creativity toward purposeful outcomes.

When I look at many entrepreneurs, I see passionate dreamers who start with ambition but no strategic direction — they build a website, post on social media, and network, yet still struggle to gain traction. The difference lies in starting intelligently. Success begins with understanding the market, creating strategies that set you apart, and using your expertise and creativity to build something exceptional. That’s where real growth and success come from — the balance of intelligence, integrity, and energy working together.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
The challenges I faced as an entrepreneur are what shaped my brand. I’m the founder of MAOC Studio, a modern marketing agency that was born out of necessity and vision. My journey began in fashion — I graduated with a degree in fashion design and successfully launched my own atelier. But when I tried to take my business to the next level, I couldn’t find a marketing agency that truly understood my creative vision or offered high-quality, strategic work at a reasonable cost.

That experience pushed me to dive into marketing myself — and I fell in love with it. I decided to build what I couldn’t find: a premium, all-in-one marketing and branding solution that turns ideas into reality through intelligent planning, creativity, and research-based strategy.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my children has shaped how I see myself more than anything else. Motherhood taught me the depth of care, love, and responsibility that now influences every aspect of my life — especially in business. That same sense of responsibility is what inspired me to create a marketing solution that genuinely serves my clients and gives them the expertise they need to build their dream businesses.

For me, it’s never just about providing a service — it’s about truly understanding what my clients need to succeed. Much like motherhood, it’s not about simply taking care of your child, but about understanding their individuality and nurturing their potential. That perspective has shaped not only who I am but also how I approach every relationship, both personally and professionally.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I’ve never given up, but I’ve certainly experienced moments where I felt close to it. I’ve learned that struggle is not just a challenge — it’s a test of patience and a call to elevate your thinking. True rationality means looking at your situation realistically, understanding your business needs, and recognizing when to seek expert guidance instead of trying to do everything alone.

Unfortunately, the popular “do it all yourself” mindset has caused many entrepreneurs unnecessary frustration and burnout. It often leads people to the edge of giving up, not because they lack potential, but because they lack proper support. That’s exactly why I built MAOC Studio — to be that support system. Sometimes, all it takes is one conversation, one consultation, to completely change the direction of your business and reignite your motivation.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
Unfortunately, the way the marketing industry has presented itself over the years has damaged the trust between business owners and marketing agencies.

First, the industry has built its reputation on overpromising — advertising every single service as “the key to generating sales.” Whether it’s a website design, logo, or business cards, everything is marketed as a direct sales solution. That’s misleading. While these elements contribute to overall growth, real results come from strategic, consistent, and well-integrated marketing efforts — not isolated services.

Second, marketing has been fragmented into separate services, sold individually. While businesses do need different components, marketing is a connected process that should begin with market research and strategic planning, applying those insights across every service to build a premium, results-driven brand. Selling it in pieces benefits agencies, not business owners — and this disjointed approach is a major reason many entrepreneurs struggle or fail.

Third, there’s a serious lack of clarity, transparency, and straightforward pricing in the industry. Business owners waste valuable time requesting quotes and waiting endlessly for deliverables. The lack of honesty and structure has caused frustration and confusion, pushing many entrepreneurs to try doing everything themselves — which often makes things worse.

At MAOC Studio, I set out to change this by bringing back clarity, transparency, and integrity to marketing — simplifying the process, delivering complete brand solutions, and rebuilding the trust that should have never been lost.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who built an agency that truly helped others succeed — an agency that empowered entrepreneurs to build strong brands, grow thriving businesses, and create opportunities for others. I want my legacy to reflect that I made a rational difference — that I used intelligence, integrity, and creativity to simplify success for others and raise the overall standard of what’s possible in business.
