An Inspired Chat with Sierra Gee of Southside , Fort Worth

We recently had the chance to connect with Sierra Gee and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sierra, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are dedicated to grounding myself through meditation, journaling, and gratitude. I start with meditation to clear my mind and set a calm, focused tone for the day. Then I journal to reflect on my thoughts, intentions, and goals, helping me stay aligned with my purpose. I end the routine by practicing gratitude, acknowledging the blessings in my life and cultivating a positive mindset before stepping into the day’s energy.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m an alternative R&B artist from Fort Worth, Texas, and I truly believe I’m one of the most underrated hidden talents in the game. What sets me apart is my relentless work ethic—when it comes to the music hustle, nobody can outwork me. I pour everything into my craft, constantly evolving my sound and pushing boundaries. Right now, I’m working on my second album, DayWalker—a two-disc project that showcases my growth and versatility. It’s set to drop at the end of the year or early January, and it’s going to be something special.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that truly shaped how I see the world was when I learned how to ground myself and meditate. It completely changed my reality and the way I move through life. Through grounding and meditation, I discovered the power of alignment and intention—now I understand that anything I want, I can attract. The universe listens when I’m in tune with myself, and it always finds a way to deliver exactly what I need.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
A time when I almost gave up was when someone I truly loved told me they didn’t like my music—it was their first time hearing it, and I had just dropped “Say My Name.” Their opinion meant everything to me, and hearing that honestly broke me. I even thought about taking the song down because the pain cut that deep. But I pushed through and kept believing in myself. Fast forward to today, “Say My Name” is my most streamed song, sitting at 15,000 streams—a reminder that staying true to myself always pays off.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A current project I’m working on is my album DayWalker. It’s been five years in the making because it tells the story of my love life, piece by piece. I’ve taken my time with it, making sure every song captures the emotions and details of what I’ve been through. I want listeners to really feel where I’m coming from—because I know someone out there has experienced the same kind of love, pain, and growth that I have.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I had only ten years left on Earth, I would immediately quit my job and dedicate every moment to making music. Music is my purpose, and I’d want to spend that time creating, performing, and leaving behind something meaningful. I’d pour my heart into every song, not for fame, but to make my inner child proud—to show that I truly chased my dreams and lived fully through my art.
