I jumped into business at an early age and in 2005 started what is now one of Texas’ largest independently owned real estate companies, Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate.
I made my first investment in the world of venture capital in 2012 as a seed investor in Mizzen+Main. I fell in love with the idea of connecting the dots in the world of venture capital and, after over a decade of investing in deals ranging from CPG to SaaS, founded Morrison Seger Venture Capital Partners.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ever listened to the song that says, “Life is a Highway”? I believe it. I live it. And I’ve hit just about every pothole on that road.
Here’s the thing. If everything feels easy, you’re not pushing hard enough. Comfort zones don’t build character. They build complacency.
In business and in life, you have to take the turns that scare you. Investing, building, growing — it’s all risky. But that’s the point. With great risk comes great reward.
I fail every single day. Every failure gets me closer to the next win. You don’t lose when you fail. You lose when you stop trying.

My faith and family. That’s what matters most.
I’m married to my superhero, my wife Abby. We’re proud parents to our daughters, Henley and Collins (named after Eagles frontman Don Henley and Phil Collins), and our son Winwood (named after musician Steve Winwood). And of course, our dogs — they’re part of the family too.
I’m a huge fan and collector of all things music memorabilia. I have one of the largest collections in the world. In my free time, I love to unwind with family and friends at Hotel California — our 2,500-square-foot back house turned music oasis.
