Growing with very little all i would get was paper a pencil and maybe some crayons, i started to learn how to draw then. Almost like Freda did lol
As a kid i got in trouble for tagging, after a while of that i turned my art to tattooing, i starting asking people if they wanted get tattoos in the streets. AFter a while some one working at a shop gave me a change. there is a story to that as well.
I been tattooing for over 20 years. I think my style is Chicano art, i have been to ink masters, Currently working at a shop at the stock yards
tattooing saved my life. Growing up in the 90s when seeing 21 was almost rear. My art help me stay out of the streets, It saved my life
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasnt easy for me, Some Obstacles was myself, other were responsibilities.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am known as Rush, Known for my art, i have tattooed so many people in my city. Im proud that threw my art my craft i had been able to make peace with other people that were at war in the 90s, or as we grew up
I specialize in chicano or as some call it trap art. I think there might be 2 others in the dfw that have the some style as me, i do consider it to be unique
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being able to pull myself together and Honeslty as i have gotten closer to God i feel that i have been able to clear mind and been able to grow more as an artist
