Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanneca Weatherall.
Hi Shanneca, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into business was birthed out of one of the hardest seasons of my life. After the sudden death of my late husband in 2009, I was left with no life insurance, a six-month-old, and a one-year-old. I lost my home, my cars, and what felt like my sense of stability. But even in that dark place, I was determined to rebuild for my children.
Eventually, I was able to find a home and began piecing my life back together. I purchased my kids a small 8×8 bounce house just to keep them busy, along with a commercial cotton candy and popcorn machine. I used those items at their birthday parties, and before long, people in my community started asking to borrow them for their own events.
By 2013, after nearly ten years with AT&T, I was laid off. I remember asking God, “What do I do now?” and He reminded me of His word — I have given you power to get wealth. He said, Those items you’ve been letting people borrow — start charging for them. That’s when I took a leap of faith and began marketing on social media. That one small bounce house grew into what is now Remember The Giants, a thriving party rental company with over half a million dollars’ worth of inventory — all paid off within three years.
Social media opened doors for me to serve at large community events, major corporations, and mega churches. I even had the privilege of working with The Potter’s House and providing inflatables for MegaFest’s Mega Kids — one of the largest conferences in the nation.
That same 8×8 bounce house also grew into Next Level Giants Event Center, a 20,000 sq. ft. facility that now hosts everything from children’s inflatable parties to weddings and community events. I also host monthly women’s empowerment events there and, in 2024, opened a second location inside the event center for Uncommon Church, where I pastor alongside my husband.
My story is proof that you can start with nothing, trust God, and watch Him multiply what’s in your hands.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been an easy road. I started my company in 2015, and in those early days, I was very hands-on. With just a small team of teenagers, we were lifting inflatables that weighed anywhere from 100 to 600 pounds — sometimes in triple-digit Texas heat or in freezing temperatures. It was physically exhausting, but I was determined to make it work because I believed in what I was building.
When I opened my event center in February 2020, I was so excited for what was ahead — and then, just weeks later, the pandemic hit. By the end of March, everything shut down. We couldn’t host events, people couldn’t gather, and I had just invested everything into this dream. But through prayer, creativity, and perseverance, I found ways to survive — and I did.
The journey has been both tough and rewarding. I’ve faced setbacks, challenges, and moments of uncertainty, but I’ve also had the joy of helping so many families celebrate life’s most meaningful moments — even when they didn’t have the resources. That’s what keeps me going — knowing that what I built serves people in a real and heartfelt way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
pride myself on being a true one-stop shop for all things celebration — whether it’s celebrating life or honoring life after death. Through my businesses, I help families create unforgettable memories, from birthdays and community events to repasts and memorial gatherings. I believe that every moment, whether joyful or difficult, deserves to be handled with excellence, care, and compassion.
I’m most known for my comeback story — for being the woman who refused to give up after major setbacks and built something extraordinary from scratch. What makes me most proud is that I own over half a million dollars in party rental inventory, and every single item is paid off. That’s a testament to hard work, discipline, and faith.
What truly sets me apart is my versatility. I’m able to host everything from small, intimate gatherings to large-scale community events — both indoors and outdoors — and I personally own the amusement equipment to make it happen. There’s no other event planner or business owner in the surrounding areas who can do both at the scale I do. My goal has always been to create experiences that bring people together, no matter the occasion.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very smart, competitive, and athletic. I loved being outside — I was definitely an outdoorsy girl. You could always find me skating, playing sports, or doing something active. At the same time, I had a deep love for reading and learning new things. I’ve always had this drive to push myself to be better, whether it was in school, sports, or any challenge I took on. Looking back, that same determination and energy I had as a kid still shows up in everything I do today.
