Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started Magnolia Fence & Patio in 2014. We learned a lot along the way. One thing we were determined to do is figure it out on our own. Not sure why we thought this was a badge of honor because no one cared. But we were willing to learn the hard way instead of lean into leaders and mentors. Faster forward 3 years ago a year after COVID we launched Purple Coaching & Consulting. It started with people calling me wanting to do what we do and and we quickly found out not everyone was willing to pay the price and do what we did. We starting giving advice and realized we were prescribing to their self diagnosed symptoms when in reality we need to dive into the root of the cause. So over the last few years we have developing a coaching and consulting company that partners with leadership teams to help scale their unique abilities and grow people.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everyday we fail. The difference from when we started 15 plus years ago in our entrepreneurial journey is we recover faster. We learn faster and we take accountability. So everyday their is a riddle to solve but we embrace it , welcome the challenges and believe those challenges are ours to solve instead of try to avoid them. You learn most when stretched. It is also more rewarding working through hardship and perceiver.

Purple Coaching & Consulting is built around people. We are in the people game. We believe everyone is complicated until understood. We want to lean in and help people communicate their vision, values and priorities to help earn trust & inspire. We speak, coach and consult. Whether you need a keynote or a workshop we have you covered. We can work 1 on 1 or with whole teams for 1 day or yearly. We drive results in culture and that reflects on the bottom line too.
Almost all of our wins from the companies we have coached and the individuals we have poured into come outside of the company. The transformations that take place are incredible. We have seen people rediscover relationships and help ignite passion and purpose.
We have masterminds, workshops, keynotes and host quarterly / yearly planning. We do 1 on 1s and group coaching.
We are known for leadership. Anything people. And since people are the only consumers we can drive consumption. We know Ai and know how to use it to maximize purpose. We know P&L’s and believe you should know your numbers , but most importantly use your numbers. When working with teams for a year or more we build strategies around the financials, marketplace and more.
My proudest moments though come from our give backs. We are founders of Lemonade Day in Benbrook , Texas (part of a National nonprofit) and we are the emcee for CASA of Tarrant County. Leaning into kids, giving them leadership resources and inspiring the younger generation is so rewarding.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Patience. Sometimes that might be simply taking a breath before a response, processing a thought for a day or a week or building out a 5 year strategy. People want you to be patient with them, give them grace (room for failure and learning). “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. I learned how to speed things up through a defined vision, values and priorities. So be patient with the things that are not year and most importantly be patient with people.
