Today we’d like to introduce you to Katoria Caesar.
Hi Katoria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Of course! I’ve been a florist for about eight years, but my journey as a serial entrepreneur really began during COVID. That season forced me to think differently, to be resourceful, and to see opportunities where others might not.
In 2023, I was managing a Dallas promo team called Well Connected. While working in that nightlife environment, I noticed something no one else was doing—selling flowers. It seemed so small, but to me, it was a wide-open lane. At the same time, I was (and still am) working full-time in the clinical engineering and IT space under an incredible mentor, Sheneka Rains, who turned the company she leads from an idea into a multimillion-dollar organization. When she saw my entrepreneurial background, she told me she could coach me into becoming a great CEO—and she’s truly done that. She’s guided me, given me business books, and held me accountable to grow as both a professional and a leader.
With two business degrees, years of floral experience, a strong mentor, and a vision for innovation, I decided to merge it all together and create Bloom Bae, an experience engineering firm. We started with something simple—selling luxury bouquets inside clubs. The first night I ever walked into a venue with a bucket of flowers, I was so nervous. But I could hear my mom’s voice in my head, reminding me to hustle. She’s where I get my work ethic and drive from—she’s always been a go-getter who taught me to never wait for opportunities, but to create them. So, I pushed through the fear and went for it. I sold out in three minutes. That moment told me everything I needed to know—I had something special.
From there, I built a team of women who shared that same hustle mentality. We went from one girl to a full roster of Bloom Baes—women who sell luxury bouquets, represent the brand, and embody confidence. In our first year, we reached mid–five figure revenue, which I like to call “our experimental year”—we were learning what worked. Could we manage people? Build systems? Understand the consumer? Year one was about foundation.
Year two became about expansion. In February 2025, we officially scaled to Houston, and that was a complete game-changer. I also started applying what I learned from books like Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business by Gino Wickman and Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne. My “blue ocean” was merging two worlds that had never met before—flower selling and bottle service. That combination became our signature.
Now, Bloom Bae isn’t just about flowers—it’s about innovation in nightlife. We create luxury bottle service experiences, complete with rose boxes, smoke effects, LED lighting, and custom design concepts that transform how people celebrate. We’ve introduced the idea of “floral shows” and “presentation engineering” to nightlife, bringing elegance and creativity to spaces that used to be purely transactional.
In Houston, we’ve partnered closely with Kamp Houston, and it’s been amazing to watch our concept grow. We’ve done record-breaking sales and built an incredible celebrity portfolio—giving flowers and doing presentations for Latto, Rubi Rose, Jayda Cheaves, Dess Dior, Larry June, Rick Ross, Key Glock, BossMan Dlow, India Love, Jacquees, Mariah the Scientist, Loe Shimmy, Ari Fletcher, Monaleo, JT, Caresha, Glorilla, Summer Walker, and many more.
Today, we’re a six-figure business—and I say “we” intentionally, because none of this would be possible without my team. I’m running a full-time career and a growing company at the same time, and that balance only works because I have a group of dedicated, ambitious women who make Bloom Bae what it is. I’m so proud of them.
As we approach year three, my focus is on expanding beyond nightlife and continuing to innovate. I love creating experiences that surprise people, push boundaries, and make the ordinary feel extraordinary. And just as importantly, I love watching my team grow into the best versions of themselves. I always say: You should leave Bloom Bae with something—whether it’s a new skill, a new connection, or a new mindset. That’s what it’s all about.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If you know, you know—nothing about entrepreneurship is smooth! This journey has been incredibly challenging but equally rewarding. I’m easily putting in 70-hour work weeks between my full-time job in clinical engineering and IT and running Bloom Bae. Balancing both takes a lot of discipline, late nights, and sacrifice.
Being a leader is one of the hardest but most fulfilling parts. You never want to let your team down, and you quickly realize leadership is about more than giving direction—it’s about identifying talent, pouring into people, and helping them grow into their best selves. My team is everything to me, so I take that responsibility seriously.
Then there’s the reality of working with perishable products—flowers don’t wait for anyone. If we don’t sell out, that’s money lost on labor and materials. And in nightlife, things happen fast—people call in, plans shift, and sometimes I’ve had to jump in the field myself to move inventory. Whatever it takes, I’ll do it.
Scaling to another city brought its own set of challenges. Running two high-volume operations in different cities is no small task. I was on the road constantly—Houston one day, Dallas the next—just making sure things stayed on track. We’ve had nights that turned into mornings, last-minute trips, 20-hour workdays, and even slept on air mattresses just to make the business run.
But honestly, those moments built us. My girls and I have truly gotten it out the mud together. Every challenge has taught us how to pivot, stay resilient, and find new ways to win. Entrepreneurship isn’t easy—but it’s worth every lesson.
We’ve been impressed with Bloom Bae Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bloom Bae is an experience engineering firm that merges floristry, luxury, and entertainment to bring innovation to nightlife. We started by selling bouquets inside clubs, but quickly evolved into something much more—a brand redefining what the nightlife experience can look like.
We specialize in luxury floral bottle service experiences—think rose boxes, LED lighting, smoke effects, and high-end presentation design. We transform standard bottle service moments into full-scale visual productions that grab attention and elevate the entire atmosphere. Our Bloom Baes—our team of women on the ground—aren’t just selling flowers. They’re delivering luxury, creativity, and energy that stands out in any venue.
What sets us apart is that we’re introducing innovation into a space that has rarely seen it. Nightlife has always been about music, people, and presentation—but we’ve added a new dimension. We’ve built a business model that merges hospitality, design, and marketing strategy to create unforgettable in-venue experiences. From our signature “Floral Shows” to our luxury rose box presentations, Bloom Bae is changing the way venues engage with their guests.
We’ve partnered with major venues like Kamp Houston and worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment—Latto, Rubi Rose, Jayda Cheaves, Dess Dior, Larry June, Rick Ross, Key Glock, Mariah the Scientist, Loe Shimmy, Ari Fletcher, Monaleo, JT, Caresha, Glorilla, Summer Walker, and many more. Each of those moments is proof of how far innovation and creativity can take you.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of our team and our culture. Bloom Bae was built from the ground up by women who believed in the vision and hustled beside me to bring it to life. We’ve worked through long nights, early mornings, back-to-back weekends, and still show up with the same drive and excellence. My team is the reason we’re able to run at such a high level in multiple cities.
For readers, I want them to know that Bloom Bae is pioneering a new lane. We’re not following trends—we’re creating them. We’re proving that innovation doesn’t just belong in tech or business—it belongs in nightlife too. Every presentation, every activation, and every collaboration is built with the goal of pushing the culture forward and setting a new standard for what luxury nightlife experiences can be.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is being a leader and building real relationships with my team. I get to watch my girls grow—not just as saleswomen, but as confident, ambitious women who believe in themselves and the vision. That means everything to me.
It also makes me happy to take something that started as an idea in my head and turn it into a real, thriving concept that’s now operating in multiple cities. There’s nothing like seeing the impact of floral innovation in nightlife—how it transforms a space and changes the entire energy of a room.
And of course, I love proving people wrong. We’ve been asked countless times, “Do flowers even sell in the club?” or “Do people really buy those?” The answer is a resounding yes—and becoming a six-figure business doing exactly that is the best kind of validation.
Bloom Bae makes me happy because it’s living proof that with creativity, hustl
