Mary Ruth Dilling of Little Rock, AR on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Mary Ruth Dilling shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Mary Ruth, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My morning starts with prayer (very early @ 3:30-4 a.m.). Then I normally spend some time on the rebounder, listening to a video. After this, I have my devotional time. I read multiple books at the same time. This is when I do the bulk of my reading.

After I finish my reading, I will eat breakfast at about 7. Then I check my messages and email (social media time). Then I begin writing. I will share a Rabbit Trail (devotional) on a social media platform.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
That I was not worthy of love or friendship unless I was earning it. I now know that is a lie. I am more than worthy of love and friendship. I no longer try to earn anyone’s affection. I live life as my authentic self. People can decide to accept me or not.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Tough question.

Defining wounds. Parental abuse and parental abandonment.

God healed them for me. I could not heal them myself. I almost decided life was not worth living, but God sent a special person who chose a song, Because He Lives, that changed my whole life.

The healing began when I freely forgave, even when they did not admit their wrong.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
Germ theory is a lie. Health does not come from an injection or a pill. It is the sum of lifestyle choices, from the thoughts we dwell on to the food we eat, to the chemicals we allow on and in our bodies, to the people we associate with.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
That everything happening today is linked to the Great Controversy between God and satan. This controversy is coming to a close. If I had one thing people remembered about me, I would want it to be that I spoke the truth, no matter what. I never sugar-coated it. What you see with me, is what you get. I’m as real in person as I am on social media or in a training recording.
