Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Gonzales.
Hi Angel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started out just drawing in classrooms and always wanted to do something with art just never really put much thought into it and over the years tattooing really interested me so most of my drawings where tattoo designs the. After high school I took on a apprenticeship at Arlington ink and the position was nothing I imagined to be an apprentice is something to be taken seriously it is a relationship between mentor and apprentice after grinding out my apprenticeship I finally had the chance to work on real tattooing and the rest is history
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part tattooing has been a bumpy ride but so is life in most cases but we cannot lose our drive no matter what field we enter there will always be road blocks or bridges to cross it is life to negotiate through those obstacles
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I tattoo a style called black and grey realism it it something I always strive to achieve is realism in my artwork that is mostly what people reach out to me for
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I’d say going to the park with my father
