Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Clemente.
Hi Anna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story is one of reinvention. I didn’t grow up with a clear roadmap or the perfect path laid out for me. What I did have was grit, ambition, and two little blessings watching me and depending on me to create a better life. Everything I’ve done has been built in real time, between school, work, late nights, early mornings, and moments where I had to choose courage over comfort.
I started in beauty, pouring my heart into becoming an esthetician and building Querida Mia Aesthetics. My business grew slowly, one client at a time, through seasons where I had to push through exhaustion, doubt, and fear of the unknown. That passion eventually led me into the medical side of aesthetics, where I earned my Botox and filler certifications and became a cosmetic injector backed by a medical board. It was a milestone I never thought someone like me would reach.
Around the same time, I stepped into healthcare for the first time. Working in healthcare while raising my kids, running my business, and pursuing nursing school. I am building two careers at once, beauty and medicine, art and emergency care, because I believe my purpose is bigger than choosing only one lane.
As a Latina and a mother, I am proud of how far I’ve come. I didn’t come from privilege or connections. I came from sacrifice, discipline, and a dream to show my children and my community that you don’t have to fit a mold to succeed. You can be soft and strong, nurturing and ambitious, a mom and a future nurse, an esthetician and a medical professional.
My story is still unfolding, but every chapter reminds me that I am becoming the woman younger me prayed she would grow into. And I hope my journey shows other women, especially Latinas, that they can create their own lanes too.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Almost everything I have achieved has come with obstacles, and many of them I had to face at the same time. Balancing motherhood, school, work, and building a business has been one of my biggest challenges. There were days when I felt stretched thin, days where I wondered if I was doing enough for my kids or enough for myself. Learning to give myself grace while still moving forward has been a constant lesson.
Financially, I had to build everything from the ground up. There were no shortcuts, no savings to fall back on, and no one handing me anything. Every license, every class, every certification required sacrifice, long hours, and a lot of faith that everything I was working for would pay off.
When I stepped into healthcare while running my beauty business, I had to adjust to emotional days in speciality units, long shifts, and a new level of responsibility while still being there for my clients and my children. It was overwhelming, and there were moments when I questioned if I could keep up with everything at once.
Being a student again also brought its own struggles. As a mother, finding childcare is not always simple, and there were moments when life required me to bring my kids with me. I am incredibly thankful that my professors understood my situation and supported me by allowing my children to be in class when I needed it. That kind of compassion helped me stay on track during times when I could have easily fallen behind.
As a Latina, I have often felt the pressure of walking into spaces where I did not see people who looked like me. I had to build confidence in rooms where I sometimes felt underestimated or overlooked, and teach myself that I deserved to be there, even when it took time to believe it.
Every struggle taught me something. Every setback pushed me to grow. And even though the road has been challenging, it has made me stronger, more grateful, and proud of the woman I am becoming.

What began as a small dream has grown into a space where clients can receive both self care and results driven treatments. As a Latina owned business, it means a lot to me to create a space where my community feels welcome and understood. I want people to know that you can build something meaningful from the ground up and that beauty and wellness are for everyone. My work is about empowerment, education, and helping clients feel like the best version of themselves inside and out.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is seeing the people I love grow, smile, and feel proud of themselves. My happiness will always begin with God and my children. God has guided every step of my journey, opened doors I never expected, and given me strength on days when I felt overwhelmed. My kids are the reason I push through long days, late nights, and every challenge that comes with school, work, and building a business. When I see them watching me study, work, and reach new goals, it makes every sacrifice worth it. Their pride is my motivation.
I am also happiest when I am helping others feel good about themselves. Whether it is a client walking out with glowing skin, a new sense of confidence, or simply feeling lighter after a wellness treatment, it brings me so much joy. I love knowing that I can create a space where people feel cared for, supported, and understood. Helping someone feel beautiful or healthier truly fills my heart.
Happiness for me also comes from growth. Every new license, every new chapter in my education, and every step I take toward my goals reminds me that God has a plan for me and that I am becoming the woman I used to pray I would become. Growing into my purpose brings me peace and joy.
Overall, what makes me happy is purpose. My faith, my family, my clients, and the ability to grow stronger every day. That is my joy.
