Rising Stars: Meet Sevin Christian of Desoto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sevin Christian.

Sevin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Sevin Christian, a passionate motorsport driver hailing from Desoto, Texas, a town that’s synonymous with football, but for me, it became the starting point of an extraordinary journey on the racetrack. I graduated from Desoto High School in 2017, and I’m proud to have been part of the school’s first state championship football team. Those years on the gridiron taught me invaluable lessons about discipline, teamwork, and perseverance – qualities that have become essential to my success in motorsport.

My love affair with speed began at a local amusement park, where my parents would take me and my siblings. It was there that I first discovered go-karting, and I was immediately captivated by the thrill of racing. I begged my parents to let me try it again and again, and soon I was competing in local events, soaking up every opportunity to get behind the wheel.

As I progressed, I had the incredible change to race at some of the most iconic tracks here in the United States and abroad. I’ve had the honor of competing at Silverstone Circuit and Brands-Hatch in the UK, where I secured two trophies in the Ford Focus Cup. Each experience has fueled my passion and pushed me to improve. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be racing in the 2026 GT Cup with Innovation Racing in the United Kingdom. It’s an exciting new chapter, and I’m eager to see what the future holds. through my journey I’ve drawn inspiration from the remarkable Lewis Hamilton-a true pioneer in Formula 1. His unwavering dedication, skills and ability to overcome obstacles have motivated me to pursue my own dreams in motorsport. I know firsthand the importance of having a support system, and I’m forever grateful to my family, who believe in me and encourage me every step of the way. As i continue to chase my goals, I’m reminded that this is just the beginning. I’m excited to see where the road takes me, and I’m ready to give it my all, every time I get behind the wheel.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ll never forget the trip my dad and I took to Watkins Glen International. We traveled all the way from Texas, eager to get to the track, but things didn’t g9o as planned. We arrived in New York and tried to rent a car, but it wasn’t meant to be. We were stuck, with no way to get to the track, four hours away. We tried every taxi and Uber, but no one would take us We were about to throw in the towel and head back home when I prayed for a miracle. And God sent one. An Uber driver, just finishing up a college class, decided to make some extra cash before bed. He took us halfway to Scranton, Pennsylvania, and then, incredibly, agreed to take us the rest of the way to Watkins Glen. It was a true blessing. I was able to complete my first race at that iconic track, and it was all thanks to that amazing Uber driver. It’s moments like those that remind me, even when the road gets though, there’s always hope.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Growing up I was always fascinated by cars. My Dad, he’s a technician with over 30years of experience, he taught me the basics, like changing brakes and oil, from the time of the age of 4 years old. He’d show me stuff. Now, I’m a technician myself, working at a local Doge Dealership, and I get to work on engines and transmissions all day. But I got to say, one of my favorite experiences was when I worked at an Italian auto shop when I was just 18, and I was in heaven. I was able to service Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Maseratis…. the whole nine yards. Just getting to work on those rides was a privilege, let alone getting to ride in them. It was mind blowing is what it was.
