Meet Alexus Anderson of Dallas,TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexus Anderson.

Hi Alexus, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity and storytelling, whether through writing, design, or community projects. From a young age, I loved expressing myself through words and visuals, which naturally led me to explore poetry, fiction, and graphic design. My creative journey began with self-expression, but over time, I realized I wanted to build platforms and spaces that could inspire and connect others.

In 2020, I founded GNB Book Club. What started as a small community of readers quickly grew into a thriving, engaged group where members could share ideas, discuss books, and build meaningful connections. Around the same time, I launched my graphic design company, LalaLGraphics, which allowed me to combine my love of design with entrepreneurship. Through it, I’ve worked with clients to create digital content, branding, and custom designs that help them tell their story effectively.

Alongside these ventures, I’ve pursued writing professionally, self-publishing four books including poetry collections and novels across a variety of genres. Writing has allowed me to explore themes of identity, empowerment, and storytelling while connecting with readers on a personal level.

Today, I continue to grow in multiple areas: expanding my creative services, building my book community, and honing my craft as an author. What drives me is the idea that creativity can be a bridge connecting people, sparking growth, and leaving a lasting impact. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for what’s next, as I continue to combine creativity, entrepreneurship, and storytelling in ways that inspire others.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I think that’s true for any creative journey. One of the biggest challenges was starting everything from scratch building a business, a book club, and a writing career all while maintaining a full time job. There were moments of self-doubt, uncertainty, and learning how to balance creativity with the business side of things, which was completely new to me at the start.

Another challenge was finding the right resources and guidance early on. I had to figure out branding, marketing, event planning, and publishing largely on my own. There were definitely mistakes and setbacks along the way, but each one became a learning experience that strengthened my skills and resilience.

Managing multiple projects simultaneously graphic design work, writing books, and running a community on top of a full time job has also been challenging, but it taught me the importance of organization, prioritization, and persistence.

Ultimately, while the road has had its bumps, each challenge shaped me into a stronger, more adaptable creative professional. It also reinforced my commitment to my mission of inspiring connection, creativity, and community through my work.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an author, creative director, and entrepreneur, specializing in graphic design, writing, and community building. I founded LalaLGraphics, where I provide branding, digital content, and custom design services that help clients visually communicate their story and connect with their audiences. I also founded GNB Book Club, a thriving community where readers can engage with literature, share ideas, and grow together.

I’m known for combining creativity with strategy, whether that’s designing a brand, crafting a story, or planning a meaningful event. My work bridges the gap between artistic vision and practical execution, and I take pride in creating experiences and products that leave a lasting impact.

I’m also recently exploring acting, I appeared in a horror movie, Reflections, which was released on October 3, 2025, by ThinkOrganicCinemas. This has been an exciting new avenue to express creativity in a different medium and challenge myself in new ways.

What I’m most proud of is building GNB Book Club from the ground up into a vibrant, engaged community and self-publishing multiple books across poetry, fiction, and fantasy genres. These projects reflect my commitment to storytelling, creativity, and fostering connection.

What sets me apart is my ability to wear multiple creative hats successfully. I bring together writing, design, community building, and now acting, in a way that is authentic, intentional, and results-driven. My focus is always on quality, meaningful engagement, and making a real impact on the people and communities I serve.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as creating a meaningful impact while staying true to yourself and your vision. For me, it’s not just about recognition, awards, or financial gain it’s about building something that inspires, connects, and uplifts others. Success is seeing your work resonate with people, whether that’s through a book that moves someone, a design that helps a brand tell its story, or a community that brings people together.

I also view success as personal growth and balance. Being able to pursue multiple creative passions writing, design, community building, and even acting while maintaining focus, discipline, and purpose is a success in itself. Ultimately, success is about progress, impact, and fulfillment rather than perfection or comparison.
