NTEX Consulting Group started with a mission to provide business owners with reliable, high-quality financial guidance that goes beyond traditional accounting. Our firm has grown from a small practice into a multi-disciplinary team now serving clients across Dallas, Austin, Houston, and Tampa Bay. Edgar Iniestra, one of our founders, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, has seven years of public accounting experience, became an Enrolled Agent in 2024, and is currently pursuing his CPA license. We also expanded our leadership with partner Escalade Mendez, a U.S. Navy veteran with Big Four experience, an MBA, and CPA candidacy. Alongside our growing team—including our staff accountant, Manuel—we continue to strengthen our capabilities and client support.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most growing firms, our path hasn’t always been smooth. In the early stages, we faced the challenge of building a business while simultaneously developing our professional credentials, expanding our service offerings, and earning the trust of our first clients. Balancing client work with studying for major milestones—such as becoming an Enrolled Agent and pursuing CPA licensure—required discipline, long hours, and constant prioritization.
We also had to navigate the typical obstacles small firms face: managing rapid growth, hiring the right people, refining internal processes, and investing in technology without compromising cash flow. Expanding into new markets like Tampa Bay brought its own learning curve—understanding local business needs, building relationships from the ground up, and maintaining consistent quality across locations.
Despite the challenges, each struggle strengthened our systems, sharpened our focus, and shaped the firm into what it is today. Every obstacle ultimately pushed us to become more resilient, more client-centered, and more committed to delivering exceptional service.
