Hi Michelle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Crowned by Jewlz started from pure passion and purpose…nothing more, nothing less! I’ve had a love for hair since I was a little girl, and I never imagined that childhood curiosity would grow into a full career and brand. What began behind the chair has now evolved into beauty, wellness, education, and empowerment.
Becoming an award-winning Loctician has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey, and stepping into leadership with Farmasi has taken everything to a whole new level. I’ve grown, my clients have grown, and this community continues to inspire me every single day.
My mission is simple: help people feel confident, cared for, and crowned from the inside out. This journey has been a blessing, and I’m just getting started…the elevation doesn’t stop here!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in life comes easy, but I’ve learned that when you stay dedicated and disciplined, the payoff is always worth it. This journey has stretched me, challenged me, and pushed me to grow in ways I never expected.
Releasing everything that ever held me back, the doubts, the fears, the limits I put on myself…has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But it’s also been the most rewarding. The moment I chose to step out with bravery instead of fear, everything shifted.
I realized that elevation requires courage. Success requires letting go. And purpose requires believing in yourself even when the path feels uncertain. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and even more excited for where I’m headed…because I’m walking in alignment, confidence, and faith.

My name is Michelle Lewis-Hefley, and I’m the Founder of Crowned by Jewlz. I’m an Award-Winning Loctician, Beauty & Wellness Influencer, and proud Farmasi Leader…and I absolutely LOVE what I do! My passion is helping women grow healthy locs, restore their scalp health, and glow confidently from the inside out.
Education is a HUGE part of my mission. I want women to understand their locs…how to care for them, how to maintain moisture, how to avoid damage, and how to style them without compromising their crown. Healthy locs and healthy styling go hand in hand, and I make it my goal to teach that in everything I do.
And with Farmasi, I get to take it even further. I show women how to turn their daily beauty routines into confidence, empowerment, and financial freedom. It’s beauty with purpose, and I love helping women see their potential in new ways.
Crowned by Jewlz is all about growth, elevation, and helping women feel their best…mind, body, scalp, and crown. And I’m excited to keep pouring into this community with passion and purpose!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I plan for Crowned by Jewlz to expand in a way that gives others a true safe space…a place where they can grow, thrive, and build their own successful businesses. My vision is bigger than what I do behind the chair. I want to create opportunities, mentorship, and an environment where people feel supported and empowered in their own journey.
I’m also passionate about teaching young adults how to step confidently into this industry. Whether it’s becoming a successful Loctician or establishing themselves as a beauty influencer, I want to give them the knowledge, training, and tools I didn’t have starting out. My goal is to help the next generation step into their purpose with confidence, skill, and a strong foundation.
