Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Nicole.
Hi Alyssa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The idea for Inspire N’ Shine Prints started from my love of wearing inspirational clothing to the gym; any t-shirt or hoodie that felt uplifting, positive, or faith-driven. One day, I found myself thinking, “What if I just made my own?” That thought stuck with me for a while until September 1st, 2025. It was Labor Day, and I suddenly felt this strong urge to just start. I truly believe it was—and still is—God-led. That day, I jumped into action, brainstorming my business name, opening my Etsy shop, and soon after, creating my Instagram page @inspirenshineprints.
When choosing my shop name, I wanted something that genuinely reflected who I am and what I value. Sure, I offer products that are simply super cute, but more importantly, I create pieces that help spread the word of God. Staying true to myself means staying positive, uplifting, and inspiring.
I’ve always had a lot of energy; sometimes, even told I was “too much.” As I’ve grown, I’ve learned to embrace that energy and the light I bring because I’ve realized that many rooms need that kind of spirit. People often tell me I’m “such a light” and that they love my aura—and that’s exactly how Inspire N’ Shine Prints came to be. My slogan, “Stay Inspired n’ Keep Shining,” perfectly sums up what I strive to embody every day. It’s a daily reminder to always inspire and be inspired and to never dim your light and keep shining.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
By the grace of God, the journey has been fairly smooth, and I’m incredibly blessed to have had so much support from my family and a few close friends. When I first started, I was fulfilling orders through a print partner in more of a print-on-demand style. I loved designing the products and letting someone else handle the labor and fulfillment side of things. My initial goal was to create a source of passive income.
However, I quickly realized that by cutting out the middleman, I could save money on production costs and price my products more affordably for my customers. I also loved the idea of knowing the exact quality of my items and being able to personally oversee every detail of production. For any new business owner, it can definitely be nerve-wracking to think about upfront costs, inventory, and everything it takes to run a business—especially when you’re doing it solo.
Throughout it all, my faith in God has been my foundation. I’ve followed every step He’s led me to, even when I couldn’t see the bigger picture. If you had told me years—or even months—ago that I’d have my own apparel printing business, I never would have believed it! But by trusting His plan, I’ve found peace in every personal and business decision I make. Now, I absolutely love creating designs, shirts, cups, and so much more!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I truly am a woman of many hats! I love learning new skills, starting new side hustles, and overcoming challenges. I currently work full-time in multi-family property management, but outside of my 9–5, I’m also a fashion model and content creator who loves working with brands, being in front of the camera, and walking in fashion shows. I’m just as passionate behind the camera, too—I’ve done everything from portrait photography to real estate media, capturing beautiful properties and creating lifestyle content on the side.
My newest business venture, Inspire N’ Shine Prints, is an extension of everything I love and believe in. I’ve always felt that the things we wear and surround ourselves with should uplift and inspire us—whether it’s a cozy sweatshirt and mug, a meaningful gift for a loved one, or a blanket that warms more than just your home. Each design is created with faith, joy, and self-love in mind, serving as a reminder of your worth and a little encouragement to keep shining wherever you go.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising is that I actually never saw myself as a “creative person” growing up. I used to think creativity meant painting or drawing, but now I realize it’s about expressing yourself in any way that feels true to you, whether that’s through fashion, design, or encouraging others.
Most people don’t realize that I didn’t go to school for design or business, I’m completely self-taught! Every skill I’ve learned, from photography to product design to running my Etsy shop, came from countless hours of YouTube and TikTok tutorials, trial and error, and a whole lot of faith and passion.
