Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Bell.
Hi Lisa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story is truly a journey of becoming. I didn’t start from a place of confidence or clarity. I started from a place of pain, loss, and searching for my identity, my purpose, my voice and who God created me to be. Life walked me through seasons that broke me down, but those same seasons became the ground God used to rebuild me. Boldly Becoming Her was born in the middle of my healing not just as a brand or a project, but as a personal transformation that God carefully crafted over time. It became my heartbeat, my message, and my mission: to help other women see the beauty, strength, and purpose God has placed inside them.
Stepping out of my comfort zone was one of the biggest turning points in my journey. For a long time, I stayed small, hiding my light and my gifts. But God began calling me to rise, to shine, and to allow His light to flow through me into the lives of others. That willingness to step out opened doors I never imagined. One being The Shine Crew, birthed in the comment section of Andrea Harrison platform on Facebook.
These comments were filled with women who were also lost, broken and searching for their purpose. I am so grateful for the Shine Crew now lifelong sisters I’ve been able to connect with and witness them walking bold journeys of faith and purpose. This brought on another opportunity being asked to share my story in an anthology called The Shine Effect. These experiences reminded me that my voice matters, my story matters, and the message God has placed in me has the power to impact women across the world.
Faith and community became pivotal in shaping the woman I am today. Joining Freedom Church here in Bedford gave me a spiritual home where I could grow, serve, and stretch beyond my comfort. Auditioning for the worship team was terrifying at first, but it became a space where I could share my gifts with the world, allowing God to work through me in ways I hadn’t dared to imagine. Serving in my church has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’ve had the opportunity to pour into students, mentoring 6th–8th grade girls, and I realized that I am now the woman I needed at their age. Being able to impact their lives at such an important stage, helping them navigate identity, confidence, and faith, has been profoundly rewarding.
Serving the homeless in the Dallas community with The McQueen Foundation has been one of the most humbling and grounding experiences. Giving my time, love to those in need reminded me that stepping into purpose isn’t just about personal growth, it’s about pouring out what God has placed in you to bless others. Showing Gods love in ACTION! Every smile, every hug, every prayer, every meal served. It’s a reminder that serving others is the purest expression of Gods faith.
Boldly Becoming Her is not just about my story, it’s about the ripple effect of what happens when women choose to embrace who God created them to be. Over the years, I’ve seen the impact firsthand. I receive messages, calls, and even handwritten cards from women who say my journey gives them hope. They ask, “How did you do it? How did you get out of being stuck?” And my answer is simple: I showed up. I kept showing up, even when it hurt. I chose healing over hiding, purpose over comfort, and surrendered my fears, doubts, and insecurities to God. I let Him transform me from the inside out, and that transformation now reaches other women, helping them believe that they too can rise, heal, and boldly become.
This journey has taught me that becoming is not an overnight process, it’s a daily choice to trust God, embrace your growth, and step into the woman He created you to be. Every step, every challenge, every breakthrough has shaped me. Every tear I shed, every lesson I’ve learned, every act of courage has brought me closer to the woman I am today. And even now, I am still becoming, still growing, still learning and still shining God’s light from within me to touch the world around me.
Boldly Becoming Her is a movement of hope, faith, and empowerment. It’s a call to women everywhere to rise, to embrace their gifts, to step out of fear, and to walk in the purpose God has set before them. It’s my mission to show them through my story, my life, and my service that they can transform, overcome, and radiate the beauty of God’s design for their lives. I want women to know that no matter where they start, no matter how broken or stuck they feel, they have the power through God to boldly become who they were always created to be.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. I’ve walked through some of the hardest seasons of my life on this journey seasons that broke me, humbled me, and forced me to face truth I didn’t want to confront. My divorce was one of the most painful chapters I’ve ever endured. It brought a level of heartbreak, confusion, and heaviness that shook my identity and made me question everything about my future. I had to learn how to rebuild my life all over again, trusting God with the parts of me that felt shattered.
On top of that, my health became another battle. Facing symptoms, diagnoses, and moments where my body didn’t feel like my own took a toll mentally and emotionally. There were days I didn’t recognize the reflection looking back at me, not just physically, but spiritually. I felt lost, disconnected, and unsure of who I really was becoming. The girl in the mirror looked strong, but inside I felt tired, afraid, and stuck.
Another major struggle was feeling like I didn’t have a voice. For so long, I stayed small, quiet, and unseen, not because I didn’t have anything to say, but because I didn’t believe my voice mattered. I hid my gifts, my light, my feelings, and even my pain and it felt better to isolate then to feel like I was being exposed. It took time, healing, and God’s constant reassurance for me to find the courage to speak, share, and stand boldly in who I am today.
Those challenges the heartbreak, the health battles, the lost identity, the silence shaped me more than any smooth season ever could. They forced me to grow, to surrender, and to trust God with every step. And now, those same struggles have become my ministry. They’ve allowed me to connect with women who feel exactly how I once felt. They are the foundation of Boldly Becoming Her, the reason I can look another woman in her eyes and say, “You can rise too.”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is all about inspiring and empowering women to boldly become who God created them to be. I specialize in helping women uncover their purpose, embrace their identity, and walk in confidence, faith, and grace. Through Boldly Becoming Her, I create spaces both online and in real life where women can heal, grow, and be encouraged to rise above whatever has held them back.
I’m also a creative entrepreneur. I run a graphics business called Sabreé Designs, where I get to bring ideas to life visually helping individuals and brands tell their story in a way that feels authentic, bold, and polished.
I am known for my authenticity, my heart for serving, and my creativity. I love pouring into people, whether it’s mentoring young girls, helping women see their value, or serving in my church and the community.
In my opinion, what sets me apart is my passion, my creativity, and the fact that I move to the beat of my own drum. I approach everything I do whether it’s ministry, mentoring, serving, or designing graphics, baking, doing hair, creating content that inspires and encourages with intentionality, heart, and a desire to impact lives. Boldly Becoming Her is not just a brand, it’s a movement, a lifestyle, and a mission to show women that they are resilient, transformed, and overcomers. And they too can boldly step into who God created them to be.
What does success mean to you?
I define success not by wealth, recognition, or titles, but by impact and alignment with God’s will. Success, to me, is living a life where my gifts, talents, and actions are used to uplift others, bring hope, and most importantly, bring glory to God. Before I start anything, I always ask myself, “Who’s kingdom are you building?” because only what we do for Him will last. True success is stepping fully into who He created me to be, walking in purpose, and helping women rise, heal, and boldly become themselves. When I see lives transformed, hearts encouraged, or someone inspired to take their next step because of my work, that is success, not measured in numbers or accolades, but in the eternal impact and Kingdom legacy we leave behind.
Success is when my life, my gifts, and my work point to Him, everything else falls into place.
