Charmaine Wynter of DFW Metropolitan on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Charmaine Wynter. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Charmaine, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe it’s authenticity. So many of us are hiding behind a mask. Whether we’re scrolling through social media or observing the lives our friends and family showcase, it’s easy to feel like we’re not enough—like we’re falling behind, not moving fast enough, or not doing as well as everyone else. But deep down, I think most of us are just trying to find the courage to be truly ourselves in a world that constantly tells us to keep up.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a multi award winning international, interior designer and luxury lifestyle content creator with a love for travel and authentic storytelling. Currently, I’m exploring a new chapter by venturing into producing network show programming and marketing. My focus is on creating inspiring, genuine stories that connect with audiences and bring a positive perspective to streaming platforms and brand narratives

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose is my full-time pursuit of interior design as a career. While that chapter was deeply fulfilling, I’ve come to realize it’s time to let go and focus on something new—sharing inspiring stories of everyday celebrities and highlighting authentic positivity through my streaming talk show. The guests I interview and the stories I showcase now are all about connection, growth, and embracing life’s transitions. Sometimes, releasing what no longer serves us opens the door to even greater opportunities for impact and authenticity.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There was a point when I almost gave up. The struggles I encountered in trying to bring “The Charmaine Wynter Show” into fruition were so vast that I seriously considered shelving the entire project. It felt overwhelming at times, and I questioned whether I had the strength to push through. But deep down, I knew this was a calling worth fighting for. Instead of walking away, I used those challenges as fuel to refine my vision and keep moving forward. Sometimes, the hardest moments are the ones that push us to grow the most.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I’ve protected at all costs is the essence of innocence, truth, and positivity. I believe these qualities are the foundation of authentic connection and growth. Throughout my journey, especially when facing challenges I reminded myself to guard these values fiercely. No matter how tough things got, I stayed committed to maintaining integrity, honesty, and a positive outlook. I think all of these should be guarded because they serve as the guiding light in creating meaningful, genuine content and relationships.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I think I would regret not going for it, my way. Throughout this journey, I’ve encountered many seasoned producers who’ve shared their templates and shown me how things are “done.” While I deeply respect their experience and expertise— I just know that if I don’t try my way, if I don’t trust my gut and pursue my vision, I’ll never truly feel I’ve given it my all. So, I’ve decided to give this career shift everything I’ve got—doing it in a way that feels authentic to me. Even if I stumble or fail, I’ll know it’s because I followed my own path, rather than trying to fit into someone else’s mold. That’s more important to me than playing it safe or sticking to a formula that isn’t mine.
