Kaitlin Aguilar shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Kaitlin, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Recently, I’ve been investing in joy outside of work by intentionally picking up new hobbies, like tap dance and bowling league. Both have reminded me how energizing it is to learn something totally new. You never know what friendships or inspiration will come from putting yourself out there!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Kaitlin Aguilar, founder of Tenfold Creative Co., a boutique design and marketing studio based in the DFW metroplex. I specialize in blending creativity with strategy to help nonprofits, small businesses, and purpose-driven organizations tell their stories in meaningful, visually compelling ways. What makes Tenfold unique is our focus on thoughtful, intentional design and the partnerships we build.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a kid with a huge imagination. I wanted to wear all the hats: veterinarian, teacher, dancer, designer. I dreamed BIG, even if the dreams didn’t all make sense together. Over time, I realized I couldn’t do everything, so I followed the passion that felt the most like home… creativity.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
In tough moments as a child, I found peace in my faith. Reading Scripture or remembering verses about comfort and protection helped me feel less afraid and reminded me I wasn’t alone.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’ve always believed I was made to help others, and that purpose shapes everything I do. One of my long-term goals is to serve on the board of a nonprofit, where I can contribute at a deeper level and help drive meaningful, long-lasting change in my community.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
One thing I’m doing today that possibly won’t pay off for years is investing deeply in the values I’m instilling in my children. The sacrifices, the lessons, and the consistency may not be fully understood right now, but I know they’ll shape who they become.
