We’re looking forward to introducing you to Natasha Goff Timmons. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Natasha, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are very important because I center myself spiritually, starting with gratitude, a good attitude, and gratefulness for waking up as a part of my self-care routine. I fix myself a coffee cup of hot water with freshly squeezed lime, followed by a natural healthy vitamin, and then I eat a small cracker with a cap full of extra virgin olive oil on it, right before a lite breakfast. My 90 minutes wouldn’t be complete without a relaxing shower, hair & makeup, then checking my emails and prioritizing my day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Natasha Goff Timmons, an entrepreneur, consultant and professional in all thing beauty and wellness. I have over 15+ years of experience as a licensed beauty professional, a registered cranial prosthesis specialist, and a holistic treatment coach, and not to mention a survivor of breast cancer. As a professional equipped with clinical expertise, leadership skills and the founder of NGTIMMONS WELLNESS, I hold a commitment to creating solutions for a healthier community, I am building a beauty oasis for women who strive to restore their beauty and who are in need of empowerment to help them excel in life. The vision of my beauty oasis is “A beautiful world where transformation, restoration, and redefinition of empowered self-confident women are embodied”.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve never allowed the world to define who I am. That is because I built a relationship with myself at an early age. I learned to trust myself, to be patient, aware, and kind to myself. I’ve always focused on my qualities and my abilities to shine and bring happiness and comfort into any space that I am in. In times of darkness, fear, stress, and trauma I’d always say,” Cry today but live tomorrow” this saying gave me a boost of confidence to never sit in my sorrow; instead, do something to change my circumstance. You know the saying,” See the glass half full, and never half empty”. Those are still my beliefs and the world can’t take that from me but, I hope to give to the world, a perfect balance of beauty and wellness.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d say to my younger self,” I am so proud of you and I thank you for being patient, even when life seemed unfair you never lost focus.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am truly committed to building this oasis for women no matter how long it takes.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m doing what I was born to do. As a child, I cared for my dollies in a very nurturing and attentive manner, as well as my mother, siblings, and friends. I’ve always found interest in hair, beauty, fashion, and the posture of women and I learned the skills of installing, cutting, trimming, and styling hair at the age of thirteen. No matter what career path I’ve ever been on, beauty and wellness has always been right in my view.
