Inspiring Conversations with Kristen Lassiter of Lark Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Lassiter.

Hi Kristen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A proud North Texas native, I grew up in the DFW area and graduated from Allen High School before pursuing my first passion—opera. I earned my Master’s degree in Opera Performance from the Boston Conservatory and spent several years performing with companies across the US.

While I loved the stage, I ultimately wanted to build a career that allowed me to connect more closely with my local community. That desire led me to real estate, where I discovered a new way to combine creativity, communication, and service.

I began my real estate career with one of the top teams at Keller Williams Allen, helping over 40 families each year and consistently closing more than $15 million in annual sales volume. That experience gave me invaluable skills in systems, marketing, and negotiation—all of which I now bring to my clients as a solo agent.

In 2023, I founded Lark Real Estate Group and I’m proud to offer a more personalized, hands-on approach to every client I serve. My business continues to grow each year thanks to the trust and referrals of my incredible past clients, who send me their friends and family when they’re ready to make a move.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I entered real estate in my late twenties- young for an industry whose average age is closer to 50—and before I had even purchased my own home, I felt the need to truly earn my expertise. I dove headfirst into learning everything I could to overcome that initial sense of not being “qualified” enough.

For example, in those early years, I attended hundreds of home inspections, studying what buyers should be concerned about and what sellers should prioritize to get their homes market-ready. That hands-on experience became one of the strongest foundations of my career.

What I love most about this business is that every week brings a new challenge. I’m constantly learning, growing, and sharpening my skills—and that’s exactly what keeps me passionate about what I do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Lark Real Estate Group?
I specialize in guiding first-time homebuyers and sellers through the real estate journey with confidence and clarity. Growing up right here in the DFW area gives me a deep understanding of the unique character of each neighborhood. It’s this expertise that helps me match clients with communities that truly fit their lifestyle.

Early in my career as a buyer’s agent, I noticed many new buyers jumping into home tours without fully understanding how to get from that first showing to the closing table. That’s why every client starts with a complimentary game-planning session where we define their goals, walk through the process, and create a clear, customized path forward.

In addition, I’ve seen that navigating both a sale and a purchase at the same time can feel overwhelming. Lark Real Estate Group was born from my love of guiding people through these major transitions with ease, clarity, and a strategic plan.

Every client’s situation is unique, and I take pride in crafting tailored solutions that make the entire experience smooth, personal, and enjoyable.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors throughout both my music career and my real estate journey. My voice teachers—Susan Seibert of Wylie, TX; Larry Keller of Oklahoma City University; and Rebecca Folsom of the Boston Conservatory—shaped me in ways that went far beyond vocal technique. They not only helped me strengthen and refine my instrument, they also gave me the resilience needed to thrive in an ultra-competitive field.

I carry those same principles into my real estate career today. I still hear their reminders that the difference between an amateur and a professional is found “in the details”, and that true success comes from learning to “enjoy the process”. Those lessons guide me daily, reminding me that it’s the small, consistent actions, no matter how mundane they may seem, that ultimately lead to the next level.
