Exploring Life & Business with Anne Elizabeth of Anne Elizabeth Jewelry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anne Elizabeth.

Hi Anne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been creative and love working with my hands. I started making gemstone, Swarovski crystal and glass seed bead jewelry as a child and then moved into metals when I was 20. I taught myself and about a year later I realized I’d spent a few thousand dollars on tools and equipment and thought “maybe I could sell some to pay for my interest”. I’m so glad jewelry is the medium in which I work because I can make different items and play with so many different materials…earrings, necklaces, bangles, gemstones, metal, enamel, clay, etc. I’m never bored and am always learning new techniques.
My biggest confidence boost as a business owner came when a woman saw my work online and contacted me about selling it in her store. Ownership has since changed but my jewelry is still available at Jacaranda Gift Shop in Coppell and last year I opened my own shop inside Painted Tree Boutiques–Vista Ridge in Lewisville, where I offer Permanent Jewelry, sell my work and host fun events like The Charm Bar. People are delighted to have a local artisan offering these services in our community.
I started teaching jewelry making at Dallas Makerspace in Carrollton about 12 years ago and it’s been a blast! I love seeing students come in having no idea how to solder and leave with sterling silver rings they made themselves. My classes in 2026 will include fabrication, soldering, metal clay and more. I will also be teaching new techniques like fused glass using a microwave kiln and hosting fun events like Ladies Night in Lewisville, where people can come for about an hour and just enjoy making something fun.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Designing and making jewelry is easy for me, I could spend all day in my studio! The biggest struggle is the website, marketing, and social media — basically learning how to engage with people in a way that feels creative and aligned with my business. Working in my business is natural, working on my business is a daily challenge.

I’m learning to enjoy the process of the business aspect and not avoid or overthink things. One thing I tell myself often is “do it badly”, which gives me permission to do the best I can now and get better along the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Anne Elizabeth Jewelry?
I believe jewelry should never distract from a woman’s own beauty. My designs lean toward clean lines and simple structure — nothing fussy or fad-driven. I like pieces that feel effortless, the kind you reach for every day.

My brand is all about quality. I do not use fake gemstones, plastic pearls or plated metals. I mostly make earrings from sterling silver with gemstones or freshwater pearl embellishments. I also work with gold-filled, copper and brass. I’m not a hoarder except when it comes to gemstones! I love the textures and colours and can’t stay away from making a necklace or bracelet for too long.

I’m really looking forward to teaching again, starting in early 2026 I’ll be back at Dallas Makerspace in Carrollton, and a in new location, Painted Tree Boutiques-Vista Ridge in Lewisville. I offer Permanent Jewelry and The Charm Bar for private parties and special events-your place or mine. And because I love a challenge, I do custom work and jewelry repair as well.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
In the beginning I was very focused learning proper techniques and making “perfect” jewelry. While I still don’t settle for less than my best work, I’ve learned that people matter the most. It’s about the woman who will wear one of my pieces, the guy learning jewelry fabrication for the first time in class or the girl marking one year cancer-free with a permanent bracelet.
I absolutely love what I do, but who I do it for and with is the best part. It’s a privilege to be a part of these moments. I don’t sell jewelry to customers; I get to be part of someone’s story and share a bit of mine with them too.

Pricing:

  • Jewelry Repair starts at 15.
  • Permanent Jewelry starts at 55.
  • Handmade jewelry is 35 to 400.
  • Classes start at 25.
