Today we’d like to introduce you to Raine Nox.
Raine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“In the shadow is the gold.”
I fell into personal training and life coaching almost by accident, but it has completely changed my life and subsequently, has allowed me to change the lives of so many others. It would be hard to understand how effective I have become, without understanding where I come from, I come from nothing. Due to a number of circumstances, I found myself homeless almost immediately after graduating college. I spent a year without a solid place to stay all while struggling with mental health issues. After finally managing to secure long term housing, I shifted my focus towards ensuring I could never go backwards.
For most of my life, I have been fit and have been interested in fitness. I played many sports growing up and wrestled throughout high school, only to suffer a spinal injury that made it difficult if not impossible to walk for a month. While I was mostly able to recover from that event, I was told I would suffer back pain for the rest of my life. Once I got into college, my interest became academic and slightly obsessive as I began to learn that one can heal themselves through fitness and through my efforts I have been pain free for years. I got very into bodybuilding, corrective exercise and nutrition which helped influence the final switch of my major (after many prior times) to health psychology.
Having this background while also having a gym next door led me to aspire to teach others what I had learned and within a few months of securing housing, I was working at that gym. I was quickly very successful as I had a skillset others did not due to my wide ranging personal experience. I went from being a personal trainer at that gym, to a manager at another, to a district manager at another, but all along the way, the consistent theme was a focus on generating revenue rather than focusing on ensuring the success of the client and as a result I became disenfranchised with corporate gym culture.
I set off on my own during COVID. I bought workout equipment, threw it all in the back of my car and began to drive in between client’s houses while everything was shut down for almost 2 years, only to then go through a surgery that required several months of recovery time. I was forced to restart and began working at another corporate gym once I had recovered. This lasted 6 months before I was back out on my own, this time I would be setting up where I am now and I have been there for about 2.5 years.
My story is one of hardship but also one of hope. None of this would have been possible without all the people along the way that I was fortunate enough to meet. I have grown to be very thankful for my path as it has allowed me to see and be there for my clients in ways others had been there for me and ways others just can’t. Due to this path, I have developed a deep appreciation for the growth process with all its ups and downs. As the great Rumi once said “the wound is where the light is let in.” I have spent my life learning how to turn all of my experiences into golden light, so that I may cultivate and share with others so that they may become greater versions of themselves and I have found nothing more fulfilling in life than doing just that.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about NOXRx Training?

What matters most to you?
Helping this world move in a better, more loving direction. “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I believe that all the changes you wish to see in the world are the same ones that you must learn how to embody, not purely as an ideology, but as a way of being. I wish to see a world where we care for the least of us and everyone is fed and housed and nurtured into being their best selves and we need strong people to help make this happen.
