Today we’d like to introduce you to Felix Castillo.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
PBH Productions was born from a deep love for house music that began during my travels—New York, Tulum, Europe, Miami—each destination shaping the way I connected with the sound. House music didn’t just entertain me; it matched my energy, my personality, and my style. But the true birth of PBH Productions came years later, during one of the most difficult moments of my life. After being rushed to the ER for a throat leak that could have turned severe, I spent more than ten days in a hospital bed, losing 20 pounds and facing thoughts that forced me to re-evaluate everything. Laying there, I asked myself what truly mattered: music, community, and creativity. Those were the three things that kept me alive inside. So right there in that hospital room, I registered my LLC and decided to build something meaningful. Three years later, that decision became PBH Productions—one of Dallas’s hottest house-music brands, selling out exclusive events built on passion, relationships, and an unwavering drive to create unforgettable experiences.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’ve embraced every part of the journey. Building PBH Productions has come with challenges, like any project, yet watching my ideas come to life and seeing people genuinely enjoy the experience has kept me motivated. The slow, steady process matters to me—doing things the right way, not the fast way. That mindset has shaped PBH Productions and my team, and it continues to push us to elevate every event we create.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Outside of PBH Productions, I live a regular life like everyone else—I have my job, responsibilities, bills to pay, and my own health to manage. But no matter how busy life gets, I always make room to push momentum into the brand. What sets us apart is our focus on the long-term vision and the bigger picture. My strengths in financial management and staying calm under pressure allow me to stay focused and deliver with purpose. Most importantly, PBH Productions is built on real relationships within the community. That foundation of trust, respect, and creativity has helped elevate the brand and opened doors for others to showcase their talent. That’s what I’m most proud of—creating a space where people can express themselves and grow with us.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memories all revolve around music. I grew up playing instruments—saxophone, guitar, piano, and especially the drums at my church. Those early moments shaped everything for me. I was always fascinated by how music could bring people together, how a rhythm could make an entire room move in sync. That curiosity—wanting to understand how to create energy, connection, and joy—has stayed with me ever since and continues to influence everything I do today.
