Today we’d like to introduce you to Baron Farha.
Hi baron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I remember standing in front of an old piece of furniture, imagining what it could be.
Most people saw “dated.” I saw potential, a silhouette wanting a second life.
That’s where it began — the idea that I could build something of my own. What started as helping friends choose fabrics, redesign corners of their homes, and hunt for one-of-a-kind pieces slowly grew into a calling. People weren’t just asking for furniture — they were asking for my eye. My vision. My hands on the project.
Then came the moment. The leap. A small studio. A few custom pieces. A belief that if I showed up with integrity, creativity, and craftsmanship… the rest would follow. And it did. CERTAINLY not without mistakes, disappointments and tears. AF Home Interiors wasn’t built overnight. It was built through late nights, prototypes, sketches on napkins, road trips to Round Top, fabric swatches everywhere, and countless conversations with designers who trusted me before I even trusted myself.
This business is part grit, part grace. Part faith, part community. Every client, every custom piece, every crazy idea that turned into something beautiful… it all shaped who we are today.
Now we stand in a studio filled with custom upholstery, game tables, curated art, pieces from the Attic, Portugal, Round Top — all the little worlds that make up one big one. And still… the mission is simple: Create beauty with heart. Serve GOD well. And never stop imagining. I started this business because design isn’t just my work — it’s my language. My prayer. My way of bringing people together. And I’m just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting with almost nothing. No roadmap. No investor. No fancy warehouse.
Just a few pieces you believed in, a vision you couldn’t shake, and the courage to figure it out as you went. Learning everything the hard way. Saying yes before knowing how. Every designer asked for something different.
Sometimes you didn’t know how you were going to make it happen…But you said yes, then figured it out, piece by piece, late at night, sometimes with sawdust in your face. Small business means: • seasons of abundance
• seasons of “please God let someone walk through the door tomorrow”
And you survived both without losing the heart of your business.
People see the polished studio now—
But they didn’t see the years where people thought you were “just selling furniture,”
not realizing you were building a brand, a vision, and a custom operation that you are doing everything yourself
You are the buyer, the mover, the stager, the photographer, the marketer, the cleaner…
And sometimes the therapist to clients who were spiraling over fabric samples. You wear every hat. Every creative knows the quiet moments:
“Is this good enough?”
“Will anyone buy this?”
“What if it fails?”
But you kept going — one piece, one client, one collection at a time.
There were days i was drained. Days i questioned the path. Days my hands were tired and my spirit was tired too. But the work — the creating, the building, the curating — always brought me back. The Dallas Design District is full of talent.. i had to carve my space — not by yelling louder, but by doing something only i could do:
custom pieces with soul, with story, with craft. I am an artist first, But being a business owner forces you into spreadsheets, deadlines, shipping issues, delays, invoices, and nonstop decisions. Finding that balance is Still a work in progress.
We’ve been impressed with AF HOME INTERIORS, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are an Interior Design Studio specializing in custom furniture and interior design. 1430 Dragon Street Suite 17
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I would say the most essential quality is that I run my business solely faith based trusting GOD with every step.
I am Creative to the Core I don’t just design furniture; I design feelings.
Every fabric, curve, finish, texture, and color lives in my mind long before it hits the studio floor.
my creativity is instinctual and constant. I built everything from the ground up. No shortcuts. No silver spoon. I notice everything: the hem of a skirted sofa, the undertone of a cream paint, the weight of a hinge, the way light hits a finish. design with feeling. I treat clients with feeling. There is soul and sincerity behind every piece i bring into the world.
Ive taken hits, faced setbacks, started over, pivoted, reinvented — and never stopped.
My resilience is one of your sharpest strengths.
