Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Jones.
Hi Allie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My Story: From Esthetician & Model to Founder of a 6-Figure Marketing Agency
My journey into beauty and marketing began long before I ever thought about starting a marketing agency. I started my career as a licensed esthetician and pro mua, spending my days helping clients feel confident in their skin. At the same time, I was working as a model—constantly in front of the camera, learning firsthand how branding, lighting, angles, and storytelling shape the way people see a business.
Modeling gave me an eye for aesthetics, but it also sparked something deeper. I often had a very specific creative vision for my shoots—how I wanted the mood, colors, and story to come through—but the photographers I worked with didn’t always capture it the way I imagined. Instead of feeling frustrated, I took it as a sign. I wanted full creative control. So I bought my first camera and started creating the content I wished existed. That decision completely changed my life.
As I continued creating, I naturally began helping other beauty professionals elevate their online presence, refine their branding, and tell their story in a way that actually resonated with clients and the business owner. I realized I had a unique ability to blend my esthetician experience, my on-camera perspective, and my creative direction into content that was not only beautiful, but strategic.
That passion turned into a business. Within six months of launching my marketing agency, I scaled to six figures, fueled by client referrals, long-term partnerships, and my commitment to delivering real, measurable results.
Today, I work with a wide range of businesses—med spas, plastic surgeons, hair extension brands, bridal teams, wellness studios, home improvement business and more. While I support multiple industries, beauty and aesthetics will always be my specialty because it’s where I started and where my passion truly lives. My background gives me an insider’s perspective on what clients want to see, what builds trust, and what actually converts.
My agency exists to blend high-quality creative direction with strategy, giving brands the confidence, clarity, and visibility they need to grow. What started with a love for esthetics, a modeling career, and a desire to bring my own creative vision to life has evolved into a thriving agency—and I’m only getting started!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey definitely hasn’t been perfectly smooth and honestly, I don’t think entrepreneurship is supposed to be. For me, it’s been a constant process of learning, adapting, and refining as I grow.
When I first started my agency, everything was new. I was learning where I could scale, when to hire, and what tasks I needed to take off my plate so I could stay in my zone of genius. For a long time, I tried to do everything myself, and that only works until it doesn’t. Learning where I needed support was a huge shift for me.
Refining my systems has also been a big part of the journey. Building workflows, creating structure, and developing processes that help me manage multiple clients efficiently has taken a lot of trial and error. Every time I thought I had it perfect, I would find a better way to streamline, automate, or improve.
Scaling quickly also came with its own challenges. Hitting six figures in six months was exciting, but it meant I had to grow just as fast behind the scenes – tightening boundaries, learning to delegate, and stepping into more of a CEO role instead of trying to be everything at once.
But every challenge has taught me something valuable. It’s been a journey of ongoing growth, self-awareness, and evolution. And I truly believe those struggles are what shaped my business into what it is today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I run a full-service marketing agency specializing in social media management, content creation, influencer marketing and brand development—primarily for beauty and aesthetics-based businesses. Because of my esthetics background, I have an insider perspective on the industry that most marketers don’t. I understand both sides: the client experience and the business strategy behind it.
I create tailored content strategies, produce high-quality short-form video, manage brand storytelling, and help businesses grow their social media in a way that actually converts into booked clients not just vanity metrics. My agency supports med spas, plastic surgeons, hair salons and hair extension brands, beauty professionals, bridal teams, wellness studios, and more across the U.S.
I’m best known for my ability to blend creativity with strategy. It’s not just about pretty content—it’s about content with intention. My modeling background gave me a strong eye for detail, composition, and the emotional side of visuals, while my esthetics experience taught me how to communicate effectively with beauty clients. That combination allows me to create content that feels elevated, authentic, and aligned with the brand’s goals.
One thing I’m most proud of is scaling my agency to six figures within the first six months. But even more than the numbers, I’m proud of the transformations I create for my clients—the growth, the confidence, the rebrands, the increased bookings, and the feeling of finally having a clear digital identity that represents who they are. My clients set goals and I help them reach them!
What sets me apart is my dual perspective. I’ve been the service provider, the model, the creative, and now the strategist. I understand the beauty industry from every angle, and I bring that depth into every project. My clients know they’re working with someone who understands the artistry, the business, and the emotion behind their brand and that’s what allows me to create content that feels both visually stunning and strategically impactful.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My biggest advice is to stay open, stay curious, and surround yourself with people who are building in the same direction as you. I look up to so many business owners in the beauty, aesthetics, and creative space, women who are ambitious, resourceful, and passionate about what they do. Those relationships have been iso valuable.
A lot of my growth has come from simply asking questions, sharing what’s working for me, learning what’s working for them, and creating a space where nothing feels gatekept. We share systems, tools, ideas, and lessons, and there’s something incredibly powerful about growing alongside people who understand your world. I’m a firm believer in community over competition, and that mindset has opened more doors for me than anything else.
When it comes to mentorship, I’ve learned that it doesn’t always have to be a formal relationship. Sometimes your “mentors” are simply peers you respect, other artists, creatives, or business owners whose approach inspires you. And sometimes mentorship grows naturally through genuine connection rather than seeking someone to guide you from the start.
Networking, for me, has been about building real relationships, not transactional ones. Many of my clients become people I’m genuinely close to. Because they’re business owners, too, we often have open conversations about goals, structure, systems, and growth. That clarity and collaboration not only help them, it helps me become a better CEO.
Overall, showing up authentically, sharing your journey, and nurturing meaningful connections will take you further than trying to navigate entrepreneurship alone. The right community truly elevates you.
