Today we’d like to introduce you to Demi Brydie.
Hi Demi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey in the beauty industry began about six years ago when I trained as a full-body waxer. I quickly fell in love with the confidence-building side of the work the way people walk out feeling lighter, empowered, and more connected to themselves. As my role grew, I eventually stepped into management, which introduced me to the hr business side of things even though I quickly realized that part wasn’t my passion.
No matter how much responsibility I took on, I always felt a pull back to the service room. I’m happiest when I’m working hands-on with clients and creating a safe, comfortable space where they can show up as themselves. That feeling pushed me to finally consider something I had been dreaming about for a long time: creating something of my own.
Recently, I took the leap and started renting a room inside a med spa. I’m just beginning to shape my own brand, reconnect with clients, and lay the groundwork for a business that reflects my values warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. It’s all still new, but it feels right.
I’m excited to be planting the first seeds of my esthetics business here in the North Richland Hills/Euless area. It’s a season of learning, courage, and trusting myself, and even though I’m just getting started, I’m confident I’m moving in the direction I’m meant to go. I can’t wait to grow from here and create a space that truly serves my community
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy road. Even with years of experience, deciding to go out on my own came with challenges I wasn’t fully prepared for. I had to start rebuilding my clientele, figuring out my own brand, and learning what it actually means to run a business instead of just showing up to work.
Going solo means I’m juggling everything marketing, booking systems, finances while still trying to give my clients the same comfort and quality they’re used to. There have been moments where things felt slow or unclear, and I definitely had my share of “What am I doing?” days. Renting a room inside a med spa has been a blessing, but it also pushed me to rely on myself in a way I never had to before.
But honestly, every struggle has taught me something. It’s made me more resourceful, more intentional, and way more patient with myself. The hard moments have shaped me just as much as the good ones, and they’ve helped me step into this new chapter feeling grounded and ready even if I’m still figuring it out as I go.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a licensed esthetician and full-body wax specialist, and I also offer brow services and lash lifts which have quickly become some of my favorite things to do. It’s amazing how something as simple as shaping a brow or lifting someone’s lashes can completely shift their confidence. Helping people feel good in their own skin is what keeps me passionate about this work every single day.
Waxing, brows, and lash lifts are intimate services people really have to trust you. Because of that, creating a safe, relaxed, and welcoming environment is a huge part of what I focus on. Clients tell me I have a gentle touch and a calming presence, and I love being able to help even first-time or nervous clients feel completely at ease. There’s nothing better than seeing someone walk in unsure and walk out glowing.
What sets me apart is the connection I build with the people I work with. I don’t rush. I talk, I listen, and I make sure each person feels seen and understood. I bring a lot of consistency, communication, and genuine care into every appointment because I want clients to feel comfortable and confident before we even get started.
What I’m most proud of is the atmosphere I’m creating a warm, welcoming space where people can show up exactly as they are. Clients often tell me that coming to see me feels like visiting a friend who just happens to give great brows, beautiful lashes, and smooth skin. Hearing that means everything to me.
At the end of the day, the services themselves matter, but the way people feel when they leave matters even more. That’s what makes this work special for me, and that’s what keeps me dedicated to growing, learning, and becoming the best version of myself in this industry.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about the Dallas–Fort Worth area is the sense of opportunity and community. There’s so much diversity here not just in people, but in businesses, neighborhoods, and creative spaces. It feels like a place where you can really build something from the ground up and find support along the way. I love meeting clients from all different backgrounds and hearing their stories. The energy here is inspiring, and it pushes me to keep growing both personally and professionally.
What I like least is probably how spread out everything can be. DFW is huge, so getting from one side to the other can feel like a mini road trip. And of course, the traffic doesn’t help! But even with that, I still appreciate how each area has its own personality and charm it just might take a little extra time (and patience) to get there.
