Hi Brandi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I was always drawn to helping people, and over time that naturally evolved into a desire to ease pain, support healing, and educate others about their bodies.
There’s something mesmerizing about watching muscles respond beneath my hands and seeing someone finally breathe a little more, move a little easier. In those moments, I’m reminded why I do this: I’ve been blessed with a gift that can be used to make a tangible difference in someone’s day, someone’s body, someone’s life. I thank God that I’m able to use it in a way that benefits others and I can still enjoy it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It started out pretty rough actually. I hit a very low point in my life that had me feeling like all was lost. I ended up having to leave massage school for a couple months. Thankfully, God made a way and I was able to go back and finish with help and support. What I thought was a loss turned into my gain, and I’m here today and stronger because of it.
We’ve been impressed with Palms of Peace LLC , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed massage therapist who believes in holistic healing and bodywork. Besides my intensive training, I combine thoughtful touch with therapeutic techniques to make sure my client feels heard and understood. My goal is always that when my clients leave, they feel better than when they came in.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I lived in McKinney when I was a kid for a little while, and when we moved I always said that when I grew up I wanted to live there again. I actually just moved to the area only a couple months ago and I love it here. The nature is so beautiful. It’s central to all the key shopping centers you need and has a good education system for those with kids. The only thing I don’t like is the construction, but who does?
