Meet Yessana Oropeza of Plano tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yessana Oropeza.

Hi Yessana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My Story Among Flowers

I am a Latina woman, proudly Venezuelan, whose life has always been intertwined with nature. Since I was a little girl, the trips to the countryside with my family marked my heart: the vibrant colors of the mountains, the fresh air, and the vastness of the landscape awakened a special sensitivity in me. Among those contrasts of greens and wild fragrances, my love for flowers was born.

Over time, that love became my own language. I’m deeply drawn to organic decoration, and few things fill me with more joy than watching a bride receive her bouquet for the first time, or seeing someone’s eyes light up when they receive a handmade detail created with care and affection. Working with flowers is my way of expressing love; their colors and scents inspire me every single day. It’s how I connect, uplift, and touch the hearts of others.

I’ve grown little by little, embracing every opportunity that God has placed in my path. And that beautiful, surprising journey has recently expanded: together with a dear friend, we combined our passions and now also make cookies inspired by those nostalgic, grandmother-style recipes—full of flavor, sweetness, and joy. Through flowers and cookies, we hope to bring each person a little piece of happiness, a little piece of heaven.

Because I am convinced that a detail made with love—whether a bouquet or a cookie—always has the power to brighten someone’s day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been an easy path, but it has been a profoundly beautiful one, because in the end I always find myself doing what truly fuels my passion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I dedicate myself to the floral arts and to creating details that convey genuine emotion. My specialty is organic decoration, bridal bouquets, and arrangements that seem to come alive through their natural beauty. I work with flowers by honoring their natural form, letting their colors, textures, and scents guide each design. Together with a dear friend, I also create a line of handcrafted cookies inspired by traditional grandmother-style recipes—made to evoke memories, joy, and comforting flavors.

What sets me apart is the intention behind everything I create. I’m not just making floral arrangements or baking cookies; I’m telling stories, bringing light, connecting hearts, and crafting moments that feel truly special. I work with flowers because they speak a language that transforms, and I bake cookies because sweetness is also a form of love. Everything I do is made with my hands, but most importantly, with my heart.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, I believe the floral and artisanal products industry will evolve toward a combination of creativity, sustainability, and more emotionally-driven experiences. One of the most significant changes will be the growing demand for natural, organic, and environmentally friendly designs. People are increasingly interested in the origin of their flowers, how they are grown, and the impact of their choices. This will encourage more use of local, seasonal blooms and sustainable practices.

Another key trend will be personalization. Clients will seek unique, handcrafted designs filled with meaning—arrangements that tell a story or represent a special moment in their lives. Floral art will increasingly become an experience, with intimate weddings, personalized bouquets, and artisanal details that convey authenticity and emotion.

Technology will also play a role. Social media will remain a powerful tool, not only for inspiration but for connecting with clients in visual and personal ways. Virtual consultations, online workshops, and behind-the-scenes content will become more common.

In the realm of artisanal cookies and handmade goods, I foresee a rise in the demand for traditional, nostalgic recipes that evoke warmth, comfort, and care. People are valuing authenticity and craftsmanship more than ever.

In short, the future of the sector will be shaped by sustainability, personalization, emotional experiences, and artisanal quality. I am excited to continue growing in this world, staying true to my passion while embracing everything the future holds.
