Today we’d like to introduce you to BreAnna Carruthers.
Hi BreAnna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started as a little girl about the age of 4 my mother taught me how to braid from there I’ve always had the passion for doing hair. I started braiding for $10 by the age of 8 on little kids and continued doing everyone’s hair I could get my hands on throughout high school. Once I got to college I set my dorm room up as a salon and from there I knew there wasn’t nothing else in this world I would rather do. After I had my daughter I decided to attend Paul Mitchell and it all went from there I was effectuated with hairstyling and the idea of working for myself. Since I started my business Royally Loc’D it’s been growing from online presence to real life. I love it every day of my life and growing to love it even more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part it’s been pretty smooth. Sometimes you have those days where it might seem a little harder but I stay focused push forward and stay positive.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Royally Loc’D specialize in hand customized at appointment Loc extensions. This came to me one day after trying to find away to make loc extensions look as natural as possible. This process helps people grow their natural hair into locs without going through the short phase. Lasting about 4-6 years depending on lifestyle people have the opportunity to grow short 3 inch hair to mid back with the extensions in.
Any big plans?
My biggest goal I would like to accomplish is starting a school for natural hair and locs sharing my gifts with others. My dreams has always been to teach while doing what I love.
