Community Highlights: Meet Shayla Dunlap of Clinic Concierge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shayla Dunlap.

Hi Shayla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After years of working in traditional healthcare settings, I saw how difficult it was for patients to access high-quality medical care quickly and conveniently — especially when they were sick, busy, or simply overwhelmed by the system. I knew there had to be a better way.

During the pandemic, I helped my now-business partner navigate a successful COVID-focused operation, and that experience sparked an idea. When the world returned to normal, I pitched her on building something entirely new — a concierge-style healthcare service that delivered the full spectrum of care directly to people’s homes.

That vision became Clinic Concierge.

We launched with a simple mission: make healthcare more accessible, personalized, and exceptional — the kind of care we would want for our own families. We started with in-home sick visits, IV hydration, weight management, vitamin therapy, and aesthetic services like neurotoxins and PRX-T33. As demand grew, we scaled into multiple major Texas markets while building a strong operational model, a culture of clinical excellence, and a team of incredibly smart providers who genuinely care.

Today, Clinic Concierge serves over 12,00+ of patients who value convenience, wellness, and trusted relationships with their clinicians. As Chief Nursing Officer, I’ve focused on elevating clinical standards, supporting and coaching our growing team, and continuing to innovate in how healthcare can meet patients where they are — literally.

Our story is still in motion, but what hasn’t changed is the heart behind it: delivering exceptional care and creating a healthcare experience that finally feels personal.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not — but the bumps have made us better.

Clinic Concierge grew quickly, and learning to scale a mobile healthcare company in real-time was no small task. We had to figure out how to hire and train amazing providers, keep inventory stocked in cars instead of clinics, and make sure every patient received the same high-quality experience—even when our team was spread across multiple cities.

There were days we were delivering IVs in living rooms while answering phones, fixing scheduling issues, and building processes on the fly. We learned that growing fast is exciting, but it comes with constant troubleshooting and a lot of late nights.

The hardest challenge has been evolving from “do-it-all” founders to leaders who build strong teams and trust them to shine. But that growth has been so rewarding.

Every obstacle has pushed us to innovate, communicate better, and stay laser-focused on why we started: making healthcare more personal and more convenient for the people who need it.

We’ve been impressed with Clinic Concierge, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
For me, it’s resilience — the ability to keep moving forward, even when things are messy, uncertain, or hard. Building a company while transforming how people access healthcare comes with constant challenges, and resilience is what keeps me focused on the bigger picture.

Resilience has pushed me to:
find solutions instead of roadblocks
adapt quickly when something isn’t working
grow into the leader my team needs
keep raising the bar for what exceptional care looks like

Our patients rely on us during vulnerable moments — when they’re sick, overwhelmed, or juggling a busy life. They trust us because we refuse to settle. That same resilience that drives me personally is woven into the heart of Clinic Concierge.
