Hidden Gems: Meet Rose Lewis of Grace TCC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rose Lewis.

Hi Rose , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
For many years, my most sacred calling was homeschooling and raising my three children alongside my husband. When that season of life began to shift, I sensed God stirring something new in me—a desire to return to school and pursue my master’s degree in mental health counseling. I didn’t yet know where the path would lead, only that I wanted my second calling to be meaningful.

The road wasn’t easy. There were moments of uncertainty, stretching, and deep soul work. Yet with every hurdle, the bigger picture came into focus: God was preparing me to help others grow into the healthiest version of themselves—mind, body, and spirit. I’ve always been drawn to those wrestling with their thoughts, emotions, relationships, or identity. Even before I had all the clinical tools, I felt compelled to offer what I did have: genuine care, attentive presence, and the simple ministry of love.

As I pursued my degree, the pieces began coming together. The lived wisdom I carried, the science of psychological research, and the transformative power of Biblical spiritual formation began to weave into one whole-person approach. Over the past fifteen years, that approach has become my life’s work—counseling, consulting, and coaching individuals toward healthier emotional lives, stronger relationships, resilient faith, and deeper personal growth.

Today, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma, anxiety, and depression, with a whole-body health focus that guides people toward true mental and emotional wellness. I am also a Gottman-trained marriage therapist and a Covenant Christian therapist, passionate about helping couples honor and live out their covenant relationships with intention and grace.

Through my private practice, Grace Transformational Counseling & Consulting, and my nonprofit, The Sanctuary of Grace, I continue walking alongside individuals, couples, and families—helping them heal, grow, and flourish. Every step of my journey has prepared me for this purpose, and I’m grateful to serve others as they discover the fullness of who God created them to be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not!

I faced several challenges while completing my master’s program, especially when financial stress hit my family. I had to take a year off from school until things became more manageable. Then my husband became seriously ill, and I spent almost a year caring for him. During the early part of this time, I was scheduled to take the state counseling exam. The day after my husband was released from the hospital, I had to take the test. I decided not to reschedule, as it felt like too much to juggle and the added cost was an issue. I failed by just one point, but I wasn’t discouraged because I was walking by faith. I retook the test later and passed. Even then, I continued caring for my spouse while being the main breadwinner. Living with the uncertainty of my husband’s health was incredibly challenging as I navigated each day.

Starting out on the path to finding work wasn’t as challenging as accepting the pay offered as an intern or even as a new counselor. I had to constantly adapt to navigate these limitations.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Grace TCC?
Grace Transformational Counseling and Consulting (Grace TCC) was born from my passion for helping people and my calling to serve individuals, couples, and families in living their best lives with healthy minds, emotions, spirits, and overall well-being. I believe society has often overlooked the importance of sustaining our mental and emotional health, and sadly, many are unknowingly experiencing an existential crisis. Grace TCC brings love, joy, and grace through the work we do. We offer individual, couples, and family counseling, with a specialty in the whole-body approach—helping people connect with all aspects of themselves and guiding them through personalized therapy to address mental or emotional challenges, spiritual conflicts, or simply the need for talk therapy. Known as the “cheerleader therapist” or “body, soul, spirit therapist,” my training in relationships, interpersonal skills, somatic work, emotional regulation, and spiritual integration is at the heart of what I do.

My approach blends mind, body, and spirit, and I specialize in trauma, grief, anxiety, and compassionate care. I also work with couples on pre-marital preparation, marriage challenges, and family conflict resolution. Depending on the level of change desired, I help facilitate deep soul transformation, always with the goal of finding peace in being one’s true self.

What I’m most proud of is being a psychospiritual therapist committed to supporting transformational growth. I believe everyone has the ability to explore and reach their truest potential—and it is absolutely possible!

My deep passion for supporting married couples within the framework of biblical covenant love is at the heart of my counseling work. Together with my husband, we co-founded a parachurch organization dedicated to strengthening families, starting with the head of the household. Through this mission, we provide resources and partner with other like-minded, vision-driven organizations.

I’ve also had the privilege to speak on both mental and spiritual health, creating meaningful opportunities to raise awareness and encourage individuals to live boldly and authentically as their true selves.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The limitless power of grace is the key to living life well. We need to embrace this superpower, tend to all aspects of our lives, and live out grace boldly. Grace is simply love wrapped in peace, God’s favor—receiving what you don’t deserve—along with forgiveness and empowerment. There are so many components to this GRACE. It’s a rich and complete concept that many of us overlook in the way we live.

I’ve learned to walk and speak with grace, and my relationships have grown healthier as that grace shines through in love, peace, and joy. It’s incredible to experience this even in the most challenging or stressful times. My faith in God deepens as I trust in His sovereignty, which continually extends grace and wisdom to me.

I continue to move with GRACE in every area of my life.
