Today we’d like to introduce you to Summer Newton.
Summer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started playing bass and then asked Victor if I could join and he said yes š
Iām sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I struggled a lot with thinking I wasn’t good enough since I had just started. After a few shows, my bandmates assuring me, and an absurd amount of bloody fingers from practicing a lot I started feeling better.
Thanks ā so what else should our readers know about your work and what youāre currently focused on?
I play bass, I specialize in bass, and I’m known for being Deadskin’s bass player. I’m most proud of how big my little kitten Church has gotten.
What has been the most important lesson youāve learned along your journey?
If you truly want something you have to put in the effort. You will always be rewarded in some way.
