Today we’d like to introduce you to Israel Reyna III.
Hi Israel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was about 5 or 6 years old when I realized the music Business was my calling. I really enjoyed music so much that I even told my music teacher at the time that, that’s what I wanted to do. Was to be a musician. Little did I know it was more than just that. It was an artist I would become. An entrepreneur. A guide for other who wish to do the same. And a voice and vessel for God.
I started out writing music and poetry at the age of 13. Then started recoding myself on an iPhone at the age of 15. It was around 2012 when I started that. I had a group of friends that recorded with me and we called ourselves GAW$ (Grind And We Shine) from about 2012 – 2015 we had that going and then I started recording myself, my brother and a couple of my brothers friends this time. This time with actual studio equipment I invested into. It was a good run, dropped quite a bit of albums and mixtapes and produced an album for my brother and we opened up for peso peso even. That run lasted from 2016 – 2021 I would I say. After that I became a family man and then ran into issues with my now divorced wife in 2023 and ever since then I’ve been traveling the world performing, producing, even filming and helping other artist & business’s reach their goals and potential as well. Solo at times or even with a group I have been connected with since 2024 “High Vibe Tribe”
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sacrificing family time to be where I am at and vice versa
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create music, I produce it. Mix and master it and I do music videos as well. I am also a seller of cacao when the inventory is on me. I am mainly known for my brand Grandfather Records where we help other artist accomplish their dreams, and for my stage name $tar$eed
I am most proud of all the people I have helped along the way. To see them shine is enough to put a big smile on my face that and seeing money go not only into my pockets but theirs as well.
What sets me apart from others I would say is I personally do not care for my self. I do to certain extent however, I care more about others and creating them and molding them into their perfect character. Such as being humble. Being kind strong and more basically becoming the perfect person and allowing them to share their vision with the world. Because at the end of the day their vision is also mine.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Bigger venues, bigger crowds, more countries, more streams and more love for the rest of the world
