Hi Robbie , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, honestly, I never thought I’d become a tattoo artist. I wanted to be a muralist because I’ve loved painting since I was little. But then a turning point came in my life when I saw body art in tattoo magazines and other materials, and the idea of creating art, but on the skin, occurred to me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, it hasn’t been easy. It’s a sacrifice we make for something we’re passionate about, especially if we don’t have our parents’ support. We have to give up our daily routines, what we’re used to, in order to dedicate ourselves to what we love. The obstacles are just stepping stones that we must overcome little by little. We have a whole lifetime to be ordinary, but only one chance to be extraordinary.

I’m a 100% Mexican tattoo artist, proud to be from Tasquillo, Hidalgo. I’m versatile; I don’t limit myself to just one style. I believe that focusing on a single style would make me egocentric. It would be like a mechanic who calls himself a mechanic but only repairs transmissions. My goal has always been to be a TATTOO ARTIST in the broadest sense of the word, and perhaps that’s what sets me apart from others.
What makes you happy?
The awakening… because simply opening my eyes and beholding a new dawn is synonymous with being alive, with being with those around me: family, friends, work, what we have accomplished, what we still have left to do; the simple act of waking up and giving thanks to God for a new day to work, eat, enjoy, give, and receive.
