We’re looking forward to introducing you to Monsieur Alexander. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Monsieur , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely — I would hire me without hesitation. In my Christmas design business, I bring a rare combination of creativity, organization, emotional intelligence, and client-focused service that consistently elevates the experience for every client I work with. I’m not just decorating a space; I’m building moments, memories, and atmospheres that people remember.
I would hire myself because I excel at turning a client’s vision into a luxury, magazine-worthy reality. My process is thoughtful and intentional — from concept creation to detailed installation. I’m dependable, solution-oriented, and calm under pressure, especially during the hectic holiday season. I communicate clearly, I stay on schedule, and I treat every project as if my name and reputation are attached to it… because they are.
I also bring heart to my work. Many of my designs, including my Harley Memorial Garden Tree, come from a place of meaning and storytelling. That emotional connection allows me to create holiday installations that resonate deeply with clients and their families. It’s what sets me apart.
So yes — I would absolutely hire me because I deliver exceptional quality, create unforgettable experiences, and bring passion and professionalism to every project.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Monsieur Alexander, and I am a fashion designer and creative director whose work spans couture, costume design, and luxury holiday installations. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to see my designs showcased in a Black History Pop-Up Museum, featured in D Magazine, highlighted on the news, and worn in local productions including the Broadway musical Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill. I also co-founded Dallas Future Fashion Designers, a fashion entertainment company dedicated to uplifting and spotlighting emerging talent in the Dallas community.
Building on my background in high-fashion and storytelling, I launched Monsieur Alexander Holidays & Couture, a luxury Christmas design brand where I merge couture craftsmanship with immersive holiday artistry. My holiday installations go beyond decoration—they are deeply personal experiences rooted in emotion, symbolism, and visual storytelling. Every tree and design is treated like a couture piece, layered with meaning and crafted with precision.
My most recent project, the Harley Memorial Garden Christmas Tree, is a perfect example of that blend of heart and artistry. Created in honor of my beloved dog, it reflects my belief that holiday design should capture memories, celebrate love, and bring people together.
Today, my focus is on expanding my luxury Christmas brand through interactive installations, cinematic design previews, and high-end custom décor. Whether through fashion or holiday artistry, my mission remains the same: to create beauty, inspire emotion, and transform spaces into unforgettable experiences.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that must be released is the version of myself that operated out of fear—fear of not being enough, fear of failing, fear of stepping fully into my own greatness. For years, I carried a quiet belief that I had to shrink myself, tone down my ideas, or wait for the “right moment” to create the life and career I truly wanted.
But that version of me did its job. It kept me safe during times when I didn’t yet have the confidence, support, or clarity I have now. It taught me humility, resilience, and how to survive when I didn’t have much.
Now, I’m in a season where survival is no longer enough. I’m building a luxury brand, transforming homes for the holidays, designing couture, and telling stories through my art. None of that can coexist with the version of me that doubts himself.
So the part of me I’m releasing is the fear-driven version—the one who questioned whether he was worthy of success. I’m stepping into the version of myself that leads, creates boldly, and trusts my talent, my vision, and my story.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I realized that my creativity was not just a talent—it was a form of healing. For years, I carried my struggles quietly, trying to push through life without letting anyone see how much I was hurting. But when I began designing fashion pieces and creating immersive Christmas installations, something shifted. My pain stopped feeling like a weight and started feeling like fuel.
Losing my dog Harley was a turning point. Instead of collapsing under the grief, I poured every emotion into creating the Harley Memorial Garden Christmas Tree. For the first time, I allowed my pain to be visible, not as weakness, but as art. That experience taught me that pain can transform into beauty, connection, and purpose when you stop hiding it. Since then, I’ve used every scar, every hardship, every heartbreak as creative power—turning personal moments into work that touches others.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to building a luxury brand empire that merges fashion, storytelling, and immersive holiday design. Whether it takes five years or fifteen, I know it’s my purpose.
My work has been featured in museums, magazines, and on stage—not because of luck, but because I’m dedicated to creating beauty that makes people feel something. My long-term project is to continue building Monsieur Alexander into a global powerhouse: couture, fragrance, immersive experiences, and luxury Christmas artistry under one vision.
This is more than a project—it’s my life’s calling.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, because my creativity isn’t driven by applause — it’s driven by purpose. Even before my work appeared in museums, magazines, or on stage, I created because it was the one place where I felt whole. My best work has always come from deeply personal places, like the Harley Memorial Garden Tree or my signature couture pieces. Those creations were born from love, not validation.
Praise is beautiful, but it’s not what fuels me. The process itself — the storytelling, the emotion, the transformation — is what brings me joy. I know I was given this gift to touch people, to help them feel something, and to bring beauty into their lives. So even if no one ever clapped, posted, or recognized it, I would still give everything my best. Because creating isn’t something I do — it’s who I am.
I’ve learned that the reward is in the creation, not the approval.
