Community Highlights: Meet Chandler Milliken of Pro Exteriors, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandler Milliken.

Hi Chandler , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My wife, Tabatha, and I had both been in the insurance restoration and construction industry for about nine years. Before that, we were just like a lot of people — working nine-to-five jobs, living paycheck to paycheck, trying to make ends meet. At one point in our lives, we were deep in addiction and barely surviving. When we found the roofing and insurance restoration industry, it changed the trajectory of our lives and gave us a real opportunity.

We went to work for Crest Exteriors, and that’s where we truly learned the business. We spent close to five years there, mastering the trade, systems, and leadership. I was managing multiple offices, traveling constantly, and we were part of helping grow that company from around a ten-million-dollar operation to over thirty million.

But toward the end of that season, success came at a cost. I was gone a lot. I was managing an office in Lake Charles, Louisiana, spending more time on the road than at home with my family. During that time, my father committed suicide, and I didn’t handle it well. I tried to keep pushing forward like nothing was wrong.

One night, driving home, I was intoxicated, started drinking, and crashed into an electrical pole. That accident put me in jail — and honestly, that’s where everything changed. Sitting alone in a jail cell, at the lowest point of my life, I met Jesus. That was the turning point for me. From that moment on, I felt a clear calling to refocus my life — on God, on my family, and on helping others come to know Jesus.

Not long after that incident, Pro Exteriors, LLC was birthed. We started with just Tabatha and me and brought on one sales rep to help us get going. In our first year, we did about three million in revenue. The second year, we doubled to six million. Today, we’ve been established for about four and a half years, generating around ten million dollars in annual revenue.

We now have over twenty employees and offices in Richardson and Euless, Texas; Denver, Colorado; and Wichita, Kansas, along with sister offices in Georgia and North Carolina. Our team spans internal operations, sales, service, commercial, residential, and business development.

But what truly defines Pro Exteriors isn’t the numbers or the footprint — it’s the culture. We are a Christ-centered company. We offer a full discipleship program to every employee, hold weekly Bible studies, and have partnered with Men and Ladies of Honor, founded by Tony Rorie, which is impacting lives all over the world.

Beyond that, we believe faith should be lived out, not just talked about. We host monthly serving events where our team goes out to feed the homeless, pray with people, and provide clothing and everyday essentials. We’re able to partner closely with organizations like Care Center Ministries and Honor Church, and we stay heavily involved in many of their serving initiatives throughout the year.

What I’ve realized over the last four or five years is this — once you make God the CEO of your company, everything changes. When you give Him all the glory, when you pray and ask for guidance, and when you’re willing to listen to the spiritual mentors He places in your life, the way you lead shifts. You stop looking at it as owning a business and start seeing it as stewarding a business. You realize you’re not the boss — you’re a lead servant of the organization.

And I’ve seen firsthand that when you operate that way, God blesses it. He keeps His hand on the company. He keeps His hand on the people. He protects it in ways you can’t manufacture on your own.

We give all glory to God for everything He’s brought us through. Nine years ago, Tabatha and I were deep in addiction — methamphetamine and GHB — with almost nothing. Today, we’re watching God use our story to impact others.

As we look toward 2026, our projections are between fifteen and twenty-five million in revenue. But no matter where the company goes, we’ll always say this: without God, none of this is possible — but with Him, all things are possible.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. The journey has been filled with struggles and obstacles along the way. A big part of that has simply been learning business and developing real business acumen—something that isn’t typically taught in school or even in college unless you’re specifically studying it.

There have been plenty of ups and downs: learning how to manage cash flow, truly understanding P&L statements, making tough financial decisions, and navigating relationships—both personal and professional. Along the way, I’ve had to learn some hard but valuable lessons about trust, leadership, stewardship, and responsibility.

None of it was overnight, and none of it came without mistakes. But each challenge played a role in shaping how I lead today and how I view business—not just as a way to make money, but as a responsibility to the people who depend on it and the lives it touches.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Pro Exteriors specializes in storm restoration and general construction services across commercial, multi-family, and residential markets. What truly sets us apart is our Christian-centered, mission-driven culture. While much of the construction and roofing industry is often associated with negative environments involving drugs, alcohol, and unhealthy lifestyles, Pro Exteriors intentionally operates on the opposite end of the spectrum. We foster a positive, faith-driven, and purpose-focused environment, built on integrity, accountability, and service.

Pro Exteriors is not just an organization—we are a mission-driven company operating as a Marketplace Ministry and Kingdom Business. We believe business is a platform to glorify God, serve people well, develop leaders, and make a lasting impact beyond the jobsite. Our focus extends beyond profits to stewardship, discipleship, and building a culture that honors God while delivering excellence for our clients and partners.

One of our greatest achievements to date is being named the Official Roofing Partner of Texas Motor Speedway. For a company that is just four to four and a half years old, partnering with an organization of that caliber—alongside Texas Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Sports—is a significant milestone and a testament to our professionalism, technical expertise, and trustworthiness.

In addition to restoration and construction, Pro Exteriors offers roof asset management and preventative maintenance programs, along with service and repair solutions for both commercial low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems. We maintain a full in-house production team serving residential, commercial, and multi-family projects, allowing us to control quality, safety, and execution at every level.

Our team has the experience, knowledge, and capacity to install and service virtually every roofing system, including hot-mop systems, asphalt shingles, TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal, tile, and slate. From complex commercial systems to high-end residential installations, Pro Exteriors is built to perform at scale—while remaining rooted in faith, purpose, and Kingdom values.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very driven and disciplined. I played sports in high school and college, but I was also mischievous. A lot of my drive was centered toward the wrong things, and instead of using that discipline in a healthy way, I pointed it in destructive directions. That’s a big part of how I ended up in addiction.

What I didn’t realize at the time was that the drive itself wasn’t the problem — it was who and what I was living for. Once I found Jesus, that same drive was redirected. Today, it’s no longer about chasing emptiness, but about building something meaningful: my family, this company, and helping others find freedom the way I did.
