Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Johnson.
Hi Tony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
i started in the golf cart industry back in 2002 worked in the industry for several years then went down a different career path!
When my wife and i moved back to Texas from colorado we ended up in Athens tx which lead me back in to golf cart industry! My wife and i worked for a local dealership here in east Tx for a few years and decided we wanted to build the big fun custom carts so we saved our pennies and in october of 24 we decided to open our doors for business and that is how outlawz custom carts was born! We built our business on a budget and we carry that same thought for our customers as we build there dream carts!
We build on a budget or we can go above and beyond but either way we build one off customs
as I said we started with very to little money but we had a great team and we pulled it together and have become a provider of parts service and customs around cedar creek lake and beyond
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No not at all we started with a few bucks a small metal building! my guys endured the early on with us sometimes not getting a paycheck but we all had a vision and tuffed it out to get to where we are today
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in taking your existing golf cart and fully restoring it with a twist! But if the customer dosent own a cart no problem we will find one with a good base and build it from there
we are very proud of our builds and our customers love them as well
