We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ana Ambriz. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Ana , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
I Currently am still working in Accounting, staying gratefully busy but I have dipped into a new area of finance with Sage Lending LLC. While working directly with Nick Hernandez, I had the opportunity to take some training with United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) out of Pontiac, Michigan. I’ve had the pleasure to team up with Adam George, one of UWMs Account Executives. I continue to expand my knowledge in lending while still maintaining my other businesses. I also find myself learning from Gen-z, like how to stay connected with new innovated apps and devices that keep me organized and productive.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Ana Ambriz; an entrepreneur residing out of Fort Worth, Texas. I offer many services that benefit local businesses and other Entrepreneurs such as:
Business Start-Up Assistance
Bookkeeping
Public Notary
Document Translations
Audits
Taxes
Tax Audits
QuickBooks Training
Office Management Training
I’m also the owner of a minority, women owned business, AMP Materials LLC.
I recently dove deep into lending, joining Nick Hernandez’s dynamic team working with Sage Lending LLC. I also completed training at United Wholesale Mortgage Pontiac, Michigan facility. The training was very informative and focused on detail subjects. The training event left me with an abundance of new information and resources. Some of my favorite amenities are the 1950 Chevy food truck, Dunkin Donuts and the escape room. I look forward to expanding my knowledge in the higher-level training. I plan on continuing to take additional training with them in the early months of 2026.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I learned hard work at an early age. My parents were always hard workers who strived to reach their goals. Growing up, many family members around me had their own business. Along with them, I was determined to be a business owner. As you may know, when owning a business, you have to work around the clock or at odd times. I was introduced to business at the age of 13 when my parents started their own business. I witnessed business and finance management firsthand and that experience has taught me hard work, dedication and professionalism.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
At this age I was running bank visits with my parents, sitting in business meetings, and help run payroll. It wasn’t how I ideally wanted to spend my time as a new teenager. I complained frequently because I wanted to be hanging out with my friends instead of sitting in meetings with adults. My parents would always tell me “You’ll have to learn this eventually, why not get a head start”. What I would tell myself at 13 years old, is to relax, there will be plenty of time to have fun in life, and it’s never too early to learn business. These experiences helped me grow and develop to the entrepreneur I am today. It also taught me to always try and have multiple sources of income.
My biggest struggle is with time. Very often I find there is not enough hours in the day to get all tasks done. It’s frustrating at times but time management has helped tremendously. Getting an assistant and an extra hand to help always hits the nail as well.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I come from a Hispanic background and have deep rooted values. Family time is very important to me, and I try to teach my family that we need to stay strong and grounded to who we are. No matter how busy my calendar is, I make time for family gatherings and weekly family dinners. We are competitive and very often play strategic games. We also participate in sports and some good old Monopoly or card game. We learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses and help each other balance life.
Work and business take up not only my time, but my mind. At times, family time is the only thing that actually takes my head out of business mode.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
I have been able to structure my work at home for the past couple of years. So yes! I tap dance to work every day. The goal was to be close to family and I’m more than satisfied with having the structure to be able to work all of my businesses from my home office. I still have to get out for some accounting duties, trainings and some meetings, but it keeps me leveled. Face to face interactions is well needed at times. This also allows me the time to get nice and sharply dressed. Working from home I tend to forget my fashion style and come on “what’s better than some comfy clothes on a cold winter day”.
