Sonja Hill shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Sonja , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt TRUE JOY was when I cooked for a team of people.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Chasethechef, originally From Louisiana. I started cooking over 10 years ago and I’ve been loving it since then. What makes my organization special is that I’m able to connect with my customers through my cuisine without speaking a word. They always let me know my food makes them feel as though they’re back home.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The person who saw me clearly before I could see myself was my Father, Theland Byrd… Thanks pops!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me to REMAIN CALM, remain humble, and ALWAYS trust God. The suffering is only for a season.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the TRUE ME. I’m always on my platform reminding people to “Treat each other right “ as I do in my personal life.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
Build my own legacy, one day at a time so I can relax later.
