Today we’d like to introduce you to DeAnna Arnold.
DeAnna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started in the mortgage industry in 2005 as a Jr. Loan Officer assistant. My mom was a realtor and she suggested I get into finance since I had an accounting background and was always good with numbers. after working as an assistant for about a year and a half I went into processing loans. I wanted to learn more about the processing and underwriting process. I did that for about a year and a half and decided to get my license and start originating loans myself.
I love helping people understand the process and their options. I am a Certified Mortgage Advisor. This allows me to help people understand the short term & long term effects of the loan program they choose. We go over their goals, both long term & short term so we can come up with a plan that will benefit them best.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a loan officer is never easy. The market conditions and trends can affect the stability of your income. I love what I do but it is a very stressful & fast-paced industry. I really try to remove as much stress as possible from the process for the consumer.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I really specialize in mortgage planning. What we say as a CMA is – “We help you get into debt & show you how to build wealth with it”

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the DFW Metroplex! It is so diverse, and allows you to live in any type of community you want. It offers everything from small first time homebuyer homes, to mansions in Southlake & Highland Village. You can even find rural acreage within the metroplex! The only downside to the appeal to DFW is the traffic LOL
