Today we’d like to introduce you to Dessiah Sanders.
Hi Dessiah , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always knew I wanted to work for myself but wasn’t quite sure which direction I was headed. Being a jack of all trades can be hard but something about the beauty industry stuck with me and in 2019 lashes and brows became it! Having a newborn at the time really pushed me to want and do better for myself and we still stand in 2026 which I’m so grateful for.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is never easy. As women we already have so many roles but it takes an even stronger one to have a vision and execute. This journey has really taught me that it’s ok to pause and regroup.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Of course we go to school for these professions but the creativity is YOU! My signature wispy sets have made their way all throughout the DFW and the way my clients vouch my work really warms my heart. My clients always sit back and trust the process because when they wake up, they know they’re THAT girl!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My resilience has always gotten me through. Even as a young girl, I’ve always been the one to say, “Ok what’s next?” because who wants to sit in a state of temporary weakness when there could be something better. How can you grow if life doesn’t challenge you?
