Today we’d like to introduce you to Tori Cain.
Hi Tori, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Tori Cain founded Cain & Co. in 2020 with the vision of creating thoughtfully curated, unforgettable event experiences. Her passion for the events industry began in 2015 when she joined the team at Larry Joe Taylor’s Texas Music Festival in Stephenville, where she continues to support events today.
After several years working as a bartender and bar manager, Tori discovered that her true strength lay in hospitality—particularly within large-scale events where guest experience is paramount. With a long-term goal of entrepreneurship, transitioning her skill set into event management and hospitality coordination was a natural evolution.
With more than five years of experience specializing in hospitality management for artists, VIPs, and sponsors across music festivals and corporate events, Tori has worked with notable clients and productions, including Ryan Bingham’s The Great Western and Post Malone’s Travelin’ Tailgate.
Operating nationwide, Tori remains committed to delivering seamless, elevated events that leave a lasting impression.
If you’d like, I can also provide a slightly shorter bio, a first-person version, or one tailored specifically for Instagram, LinkedIn, or a website “About” section.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Entrepreneurship does not come without challenges. I often joke that at times it can feel like unemployment. As a freelance professional, it is my responsibility to secure the next opportunity, continuously network, and consistently demonstrate my abilities at every event I am trusted to support. The highs, the lows, and the challenges along the way are also what make entrepreneurship such a rewarding and exciting path.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
There are many terms that could be used to describe what I do, and at times it can be difficult to articulate. Most commonly, I describe my role as an event manager and hospitality coordinator. Some clients seek fully hands-on support in creating and executing their events, while others arrive with a clear vision already in place and rely on me to serve as a strategic and operational support partner.
My responsibilities can range from event setup and breakdown to on-site artist and VIP relations, staffing coordination, and everything in between—often all of the above. I specialize in large-scale music festivals, most frequently within the Texas Country genre, though my experience and expertise extend well beyond any single style of music.
One of the accomplishments I am most proud of at this stage in my career is surpassing the five-year mark in business. Broadly speaking, approximately 50% of small businesses do not make it past their first five years, making this milestone especially meaningful.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I can confidently say that the greatest risk I have taken was starting this business in the first place. I stepped in headfirst, without knowing anyone else doing exactly what I do. Believing in yourself enough to begin—and to sustain—a business is half the battle. Sometimes, you simply have to take the leap.
