Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulina Pineda.
Hi Paulina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into beauty began long before brows became my specialty.
I am a Medical Doctor by training. I graduated in Mexico as a General Physician, fully licensed, and practiced medicine for several years. During that time, I discovered a deep passion for aesthetics and skin health, which led me to train extensively in permanent makeup and medical aesthetics. For years, I balanced both worlds—working as a physician while performing procedures such as microblading, aesthetic treatments, and advanced beauty services.
Over the past 10 years, I have continuously invested in my education, training with internationally recognized artists and academies around the world. My approach has always been rooted in precision, safety, and understanding the human body—values deeply shaped by my medical background.
Five years ago, my life took a turn when I moved to the United States for love. Like many immigrants, I had to leave behind a career, a business, and a professional identity I had worked hard to build. Although I could no longer practice medicine here without re-certifying, I never stopped being a doctor at heart. My knowledge of skin, anatomy, and patient care became the foundation of the work I do today.
When I arrived in the U.S., I began working on commission while rebuilding from the ground up. In September 2025, I took a leap of faith and opened my own studio—creating a space where art meets care, and where women feel truly seen, heard, and safe.
Today, my work goes far beyond creating beautiful brows. I help women reconnect with their confidence—especially those who have experienced hair loss due to alopecia, cancer, or other medical conditions. Being able to give someone a sense of normalcy again is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
I am also deeply committed to education. Through my courses, I empower women—many of them immigrants like me—to build their own businesses and reclaim their independence. I believe beauty can be transformative, not just on the outside, but in how we see ourselves and our possibilities.
My story is one of reinvention, resilience, and purpose. And I’m just getting started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has been deeply rewarding, but it has not been without challenges. One of the first obstacles I faced was an internal and external one: helping people around me understand my transition from medicine to permanent makeup. For many, it was difficult to reconcile the idea that I could be a medical doctor by training and also choose an artistic, beauty-focused path. Over time, I learned that both worlds could coexist—and that this unique background would become one of my greatest strengths.
Another major challenge came when I moved to the United States. I left behind an established career, a loyal clientele, and a strong professional reputation in Mexico to start from zero in a new country. Rebuilding trust, creating a new client base, and positioning myself in a completely different market required patience, resilience, and consistency.
Language was also a personal hurdle. While I understand English well, expressing myself with the same depth, warmth, and confidence as I do in Spanish took time and courage. Learning to communicate authentically despite that barrier has been part of my growth—not only as a business owner, but as a person.
Additionally, adapting to a multicultural clientele meant learning to work with a wide range of skin types and conditions—Latina, Caucasian, and Afro-American skin—each with its own characteristics. This required continuous education and sensitivity, but my medical background helped me understand skin behavior more deeply and approach each client with care and responsibility.
Every challenge shaped me. What once felt like obstacles ultimately became the foundation of what differentiates my work today.
As you know, we’re big fans of Paulina Pineda Brows . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Paulina Pineda Brows is more than a permanent makeup studio—it is a space where confidence is restored, beauty is redefined, and care is deeply intentional.
Founded by Paulina Pineda, a medical doctor by training with over 10 years of experience in the beauty and aesthetic industry, the brand blends medical knowledge with artistic sensitivity. Her background in medicine gives her a profound understanding of the skin, healing, and safety, allowing every treatment to be performed with precision, responsibility, and heart.
Paulina is known for creating soft, natural results that honor each woman’s individuality. Her work is rooted in the belief that beauty should never overpower who you are—but instead help you reconnect with yourself. For many of her clients, especially those who have experienced hair loss due to alopecia, trichotillomania, or medical treatments, restoring brows becomes an emotional moment: a return to familiarity, confidence, and self-recognition.
Five years ago, Paulina moved to the United States and made the courageous decision to start again—bringing with her not only her profession, but her purpose. In a new country and a multicultural environment, she rebuilt her career from the ground up, learning, evolving, and serving women from all backgrounds and skin types. In September 2025, she opened her own studio in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, a milestone that represents resilience, growth, and belief in her calling.
Beyond her services, Paulina is deeply committed to empowering women through education, mentoring aspiring artists who want to build a career in the beauty industry with integrity, confidence, and intention.
At its core, Paulina Pineda Brows stands for the idea that beauty can be healing, that care is a form of art, and that when a woman feels seen, understood, and supported—everything changes.
Where art meets care.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would not be where I am today without the people who have supported, guided, and believed in me through every stage of my journey.
First and foremost, my parents. Their unconditional support, guidance, and faith in me have been constant—even during the moments when the path felt uncertain or difficult. They taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of believing in myself.
My husband has been my greatest pillar during these past five years in the United States. His constant encouragement, motivation, and belief in my dreams have pushed me to grow, to aim higher, and to never settle. His support has been fundamental in every step of this journey.
I am deeply grateful to Adriana from Viva La Brow, who supported me from the very beginning here in the U.S. She believed in me, opened the doors of her business, and welcomed me with genuine friendship. Without her support, my journey and business in the U.S. would not have been possible.
I also want to acknowledge my mentors, who have played a key role in my professional growth.
Cinthia Olguín, through the Beauty Mastery program, has helped me completely transform my business. She has guided me, challenged me, and pushed me to elevate my standards so I can offer the very best to my clients and my business.
Kristina Melnichenko from 5 Star Brows has continuously supported me in refining my technique, always encouraging excellence and helping me deliver the highest-quality results for my clients.
And finally, I give credit to myself—for believing, for staying patient, for being resilient, and for continuing forward even when the journey required starting over. Every step, every challenge, and every lesson has shaped the woman and professional I am today.
