We recently had the chance to connect with Ashley Renee and have shared our conversation below.
Ashley, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately outside of work the thing that has been bringing the most joy has been family, specifically my niece(8) and nephew (12). They keep me on my toes, current, trendy, and constantly filling me up with love and laughter. I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey y’all! I’m Ashley Renee, passionately known as the operator and baker behind “Queen Renee’s Treats” a local home based bakery, who is known for custom cakes and sweets, wedding cakes, birthday cakes and everything in between!
Queen Renee’s Treats has been baking since 2017! My mom turned 50 that year and I needed a sweets for her celebration, I had trouble finding someone to create my vision, either they were booked or the prices were completely out of budget! I ended up doing them myself! Everything really took off from there, one order after another! I don’t believe it should be overly expensive to celebrate life! So at Queen Renee’s Treats we pride ourselves on making things affordable whether it’s different specials or even payment options!
Currently working on rebranding and taking outside of the home based vibe. It’s time!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Granted, I love catering I love the feedback I receive from my cakes and sweets, that’s my passion it makes me happy ! However the part of me that has naturally felt the need to please people outside of business and even sometimes within business depending on the situation has to be released in order to elevate .
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are worth Everything, never forget that!
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The most important project I’m committed to is Me! I’m always progressing and looking for new ideas personal and in business, I’m always looking for new techniques or recipes for cakes and sweets and also life’s hacks to make life easier as time goes on. That may take a lifetime!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
If I have any regrets in this life I’m pretty sure it would be the fact that I didn’t have any children !
