Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Joshua Gause of Fort Worth

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Joshua Gause. Check out our conversation below.

Joshua, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
At the time of this interview, I’m in my 5th month of streaming. I took a moment to reflect on where I started and where I am from a numbers perspective. In doing so, I have noticed so much improvement.

On Twitch, initially I struggled to meet the standards of an affiliate Twitch Streamer. Today, I have 43 followers on Twitch. I have had 5 people support me monetarily through subscribing. On the 50th episode of my flagship series, “The Hot Ones Guy,” I peaked at 10 live viewers. On this journey thus far, I’ve streamed a total of 185 hours in 150 days while streaming consistently 5 days per week. Through these streams, I’ve had a total of 1,460 live viewers.

On social media platforms, I post clips on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. As I have been posting, my view count has grown from a total of 16,500 views in August 2025 to 51,700 views in December 2025, with a few days to spare! These numbers show a steady climb and they show proof of concept and that is what gets me excited!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello readers, I’m Joshua Gause AKA (Yaboijnotes or Realjoshualouis). I am a Content Creator and Singer/Songwriter from Fort Worth, TX. I create content on a variety of platforms which include: Twitch, Patreon, Instagram/Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. My main goal is to grow my audience and build community across the ecosystem I’m building from Discord, exclusive full streams on Patreon, stripped-down YouTube content & social clips. What sets me apart from the field is that I focus on identifying the things I enjoy and build shows around them. Which allows me to be my authentic self and attract like-minded people.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This is a super interesting question. To the outside world, I was a loud, zany, jokster. The type of kid most people wouldn’t take seriously, but somehow always managed to influence my peers around me as well as my teachers. I remember being in elementary school and always having a slew of one liners that’d always get the classroom laughing, no matter how simple or outlandish they were.

There would be times when the teacher would be teaching, and I’d randomly yell out something as simple as  “Cheeseburgers”! There would be a brief silence and the class would erupt into laughter. Other times I’d make up more outlandish words with friends like “memonponzon” or “Ptafung” which didn’t really have any specific meaning and create variations of those words. Through this process, I’d manage to create an intuitive grammatical framework for when and how these words should be used. Oddly enough, this lingo would permeate throughout school to the point that my teachers would use it. During, parent-teacher conferences my teachers would tell my parents all about the words I used and how it influenced the class in positive.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back most in life was failure. Failure was something constantly in the back of my mind. At many times in my life, I made the mistake of valuing myself for what I produce or what results I can garner. This is something that I continue to overcome to a lesser degree today. The fear of failure has this insidious way of shifting your thinking to live life from a position of self-sabotage (constantly reminding yourself of your last “failure”) and living life afraid to attempt doing something big.

I now choose to value myself from the perspective that I am a child of God. As a Christian, all things work out for the good of those who are a part of his kingdom. With my foundation of moral beliefs and encouragement from loved ones throughout my life, I have found the courage to not let fear of failure hold me back. In fact, today I welcome failure! I’ve learned that every time I have experienced “failure.” It didn’t hurt as badly as I expected, and the more I’ve experienced it, the greater I’ve become at pivoting and reflecting on how to do better moving forward.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I believe my closest friends would say that my relationship with Christ, family, friendship, consistency and improvement are the things that really matter to me. About 1.5 years ago I purchased my first investment property and moved in with 2 of my closest friends as renters. When I moved in, I had a house dedication. Essentially, praying over the property and dedicating it to being used for God’s purpose. I then named the property “The Get Right House” (GRH). I chose to name it that because my close friends and I wanted to use our time in the property to “get right” in multiple areas of our lives.

I created the 5 pillars of the GRH, which are to focus on improving our Spiritual, Physical, Mental and Financial health. With the fifth pillar being Enrichment, meaning to maintain focus on setting aside time for growing our skills and carving out time for personal enjoyment.

We achieve these pillars in many ways, but one of my favorites is that we do a bible study with just the 3 of us each Monday. A bible study that never seems to stop illuminating what God’s will is for our lives and strengthening our brotherhood along the way!

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe I am doing what I was born to do! If I trace back the steps of my life and the core nature of my being… I interact with the world genuinely as myself without pretense. In all of the things I do, there is a common thread of serving others, building community, creativity and entertainment. All things considered, the things I do stem from one of these branches. None of these things feel like something I’ve been told to do, but more like what I’ve been called to do.
