We’re looking forward to introducing you to Maria Lopez. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Maria, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
These days, my routine is pretty balanced. I usually start my morning by making breakfast and taking my dog out for a walk. Then I focus on my work—developing my SaaS project, refining contract automation, and handling legal tasks. I try to keep my days structured but flexible, combining productivity with a healthy routine.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My Name is Maria Carolina Lopez I’m a lawyer, author, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of law and technology. My journey started in traditional legal practice and evolved into LegalTech as I saw how many professionals struggle with contracts and legal protection. Today, I’m building a SaaS platform “GoContract”that automates contracts for lawyers, creators, and service businesses, making legal tools more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling powerful was understanding that legal knowledge could give people security and confidence. Seeing how a well-structured contract could prevent conflict and protect someone’s work made me realize that power comes from empowering others.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there were moments when giving up felt like the easier option. But those moments became turning points. I realized that everything I had overcome had prepared me to build something bigger than myself. Instead of stopping, I chose to trust my vision, my skills, and my resilience. That decision is what ultimately led to the creation of GoContract.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say I care about purpose, loyalty, and building a life and business that truly reflects who I am.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people might misunderstand my legacy as being only about technology or success. What truly matters to me is the intention behind the work—using knowledge, discipline, and innovation to empower others. If anything, I hope my legacy is understood not just by what I built, but by how it helped people feel protected, confident, and capable.
