Good morning Cosom, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My kids bring me great joy. Watching them grow, how they think and how much progress they have made amazes me. It gives me more motivation to accomplish the goals in life I have set for myself.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Cosom Clark from Dallas, Tx. I am a father, actor, model, basketball player, and a truck driver. So far, I have been in a few films and have won one award for best supporting actor which was very surprising to me because I don’t like my acting all that much. I do my best to balance everything while still pursing acting, but what motivates me is my legacy when I am no longer here.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before I would doubt myself, a lot and talk myself out of achieving my goals. Just believing in myself was a game changer for me, we only have one life to live might as well not live in fear. All you have is you in the end.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Perseverance, plain and simple. Working hard for something and going through those ups and downs makes you appreciate it when you finally win.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Of course, I think we all show our true selves to the ones that are closest to us. Not everyone needs to know the true you, some of us are just not the same and that’s okay.
